  1. Almost halfway through the 3rd and Miles is only on 13 disposals, but that is 2nd most in the team. I looked at TOG and he has spent 36% of time on field. I haven’t been able to watch the game but why is he getting limited time on the field? I thought they’d play him as much as they could

    1. One lesson I’ve learned from the last couple years – don’t assume Gold Coast will give their new recruits games. Barlow and Lyons were both excellent sc players and yet couldn’t stay in the side.

I can easily see Miles adding to that list – especially with Horlin-Smith added to the leadership group.

  2. Pretty ordinary game of footy but great to see Libba having a good impact! Macrae on 30 touches to 3qtr time and still unsure how we are going to play Bont this year, maybe more mid when schasche/Boyd comes back but scores much lower SC points in fwd time

  3. So dogs premier midfielders get between 25-40 possessions but lose to the favourites for the wooden spoon thoughts please

  4. Miles finished with 21 disposals from 32% game time. This better not be a common occurrence, where he turns into Barlow!

  5. I can’t leave this out, Fiorini had 26 disposals from 53% TOG and 95 DT points. (unsure on SC) came with 8 contested possies, 4 marks, 4 tackles and 4 clearances. He is priced at 442k which may be too much, but that is a great performance nonetheless.

  6. Anyone with fox actually get to watch the game closely at all?? I wasn’t able to – was wondering if Macrae actually earned the stats he’s credited with? Huge numbers if he actually earn’t them … making the initial mid selections very difficult …

    1. Not risking it with him. He’s supposed to have a tough start first 3 rounds, taggers and what not. But what if he dosn’t and comes out all guns blazing. Scary to think what will come after once his ‘tough’ games are out of the way if he’s already killing it.

    2. Watched it all Macca and Macrae did work hard. A lot of touches were those dinky little handpasses over three inches, but nothing junk about the performance. He was in the packs and he ran throughout the game and hardly had a spell.

      1. cheers Jimmy … hmmm, he’s not currently in my side … and it was the Suns in JLT … but damn!

    1. No chance. Won’t be paying premo-price for a rookie unless their name is either Sam or Will.
Besides, it looks like there’ll be enough base-pricers going around to deem it unnecessary.
      Good luck!

  9. Caleb DANIEL (FWD) $418,500. LoOved his role last night. How long is JJ out for? Do we know?

    1. JJ is about 3 – 4 weeks away Allsaints accoring to Bulldog reports, set to resume full training this month.
Daniel was great in his role last night!

        1. Not sure at this stage, I think Daniel would be a great POD for the first two-three rounds but JJ returning could impact his scores. If he tonnes up again in the next match I will strongly consider!
There will be a Lot to take out of last nights and next weeks game as Bevo loves shuffling our midfield around. Had Dunkley a lock but Libba’s strong return has me nervous with Dunkley’s scores. Likewise with Bont’s role and the shifting half back role (Daniel, Suckling, Crozier, Durea and Hunter). Plenty more for me to look over I reckon!
