  1. Olivers shoulders looking good to me. 11 touches and 4 tackles and 2 marks in the first quarter. Brayshaw also dominating early. They are going to be huge this year as a duo.

Preuss looking solid early although has mainly been rucking against Soldo.

    1. Oliver still handball heavy but shoulders don’t look to be holding him back!
Have had brayshaw in and out of my side i wonder if vineys return will impact his job role and scoring?

      1. Agreed that Vineys impact the only potential issue. However i believe Viney will impact Harmes more than anyone. Hopefully Viney, Brayshaw and Oliver play JLT 2.

Oliver at his best is just behind Cripps and both will push the top 2 mids for the year i think. Hard to ignore.

  2. Cripps, Oliver, Kelly, Fyfe and neale they’ll finish top 10 but can’t select them all when there is so much value around 550k.
Beams, Crouch, Brayshaw Dusty, sloane and even taranto an BCrouch worth another look in JLT2.
    It’s tough!

    1. I’m having the same problem! Atm I’ve got Cripps + Oliver as my 2 mids above 600k. To be fair you can’t go all that wrong with the likes of Neale, Fyfe around the same price.

      1. They are my mid 1 & 2 as well, cogs at m3 at the moment, as you say a lot of quality around that price.

      1. Na I’ll grab him 100k cheaper later. Don’t trust bevo & libba to come back in that midfield puts me off.

      2. Definitely rate him, but it is not easy (for me) to find extra 70 odd k over those other quality mids.

  3. Ive had Brayshaw in my side basically since SC opened, I think him and Oliver will be an amazing duo this season

    1. Brayshaw’s disposal efficiency will cap his ceiling at most 110 ave which would be a win still.

  4. Balta has come out of nowhere and just before 3QTR time he is on 98 points. Priced at 124k, it would be great if he could break into that Richmond team, but that would be a real tough job when you have Riewoldt, Caddy and Lynch in the Richmond team

    1. I mentioned this in the richmond preview thread.

Noah Balta is a chance to play back up ruck and push forward because of the concern over the second ruck, or lack there of.

Grigg (their current back up “Ruck”) hurt his knee recently so there is now a spot in the best 22 up for grabs. It will come down to Noah or CCJ in my opinion. But after today…

Jack Ross is another richmond rookie that did well today.

richmond likes to hurt you on the rebound so push numbers back and almost concede the clearance Not sure where a bash and crash guy like Ross fits into that.

    1. Dude is a freak. didn’t do contested work at training for the second half of the year.

has two shoulder ops over the pre season so has every excuse to start slow… then does this.

  5. I just can’t see how Preuss would possibly improve Melbourne by being in the team alongside Gawn. Struggles at times with mobility and getting to every contest when solo ruck and doesn’t seem to have a good tank. Also can’t see what he provides as a forward with McDonald and Weideman the key targets.
