    1. I can’t believe this is so one sided..
I don’t mind it at all Smith & Williams both potential to be keepers and roberton a decent stepping stone if he plays free across HB.
As long as your not jeopardising whole team structure its definitely doable jimmy

  2. Just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on Fyfe? Not been seen in the JLT games, do we risk starting him this year?

T/U: Yes, he’ll come out firing!
T/D: No, save the inevitable “injury” trade

    1. My policy is no JLT games no round 1 starting in my side been burnt way to many times especially with Rockliff with this

      8

      4
  3. Kelly (Best F3 option) T/U

Go one of Dunkley, Mundy or Gray (suits bye structure) T/D

Out of the D M and G who’s the best option too?

    Gray Forward… Mundy old… Dunkley Forward…

  4. Since the season is so close any interest in a thumbs up or down thread just dedicated to a particular rookie?
    I. E if your trying to decide about starting a rookie put his name in and people vote up down.

    1
      1. Yes, but sorry for not being clear i actually meant for every rookie. Same as table for 2. But dedicated solely to all rookies. And not this rookie Vs that rookie, but just 1 you are seriously considering, you put his name up and everyone votes on him with their thumbs. So hopefully the community get SCT a leg up with starting rookies.

    T/U – Grundy, Goldstein (Fort)
    T/D – Gawn, Goldstein (Fort)

    Cheers.

  11. Is toby Greene worth the risk ??

TU- Yes, no other options are standing out at F3/F4
TD- No, didn’t see enough last night

    14

    22
  12. B Smith, Newman, Roberton…….ONE of them will finish top 10 DEF

    T/U One of them will

T/D None will finish top 10 DEF

    21

    11
  13. TU: Grundy, Gawn, plus Toby Greene
TD: One of Grundy or Gawn, plus Goldstein and a full-priced, non-dickhead premium forward

    15

    13
  14. I don’t like the look of many non-mid rookies this year. So, I’m seriously considering starting as few as two or three premium mids, and stacking every other line. Thoughts?

    TU: Brave, but potentially brilliant.
    TD: You’re insane.

    23

    11
  15. T/U – Having Laird, Smith, Sloane, and B. Crouch is fine, they will all do well for their price and position

T/D – You can’t have 4 crows even though you love them

    14

    5
  16. With this new 6-6-6 rule, I know no team does it in practice matches so nothing to go by. But has anyone considered there mighty not be tagging anymore?
TU, you could be onto something.
    TD, in your dreams.

    16
  17. What’s more important in Supercoach Head to Head?

T/U – Defeating your Best Mate
    T/D – Defeating your Girlfriend/Wife

    23

    4
  18. Team Structure for 2019

Given the relatively poor efforts of forward and defensive rookies in the JLT (and significant number of decent mid pricers), is it time to ditch a pure guns and rookies structure?

    TU: Yes
    TD: No
    Comment?

    10

    5
    1. I think if the rookies dry up a combination of midprice madness and guns will be the right way to go.

      5

  19. Olivers tackle average for JLT was 5 (6+4) down from 7 in 2018/17
Brayshaws tackle average for JLT was 7.5 (4+11) up from 5 in 2018

T/U Sample size is too small so, Nothing in it
T/D Sample size is too small but, Could be onto something

    10

    1
    1. Brayshaw also had 3 goals. So technically his score is inflated a bit for that game as opposed to an average game.

      1

      1
      1. As a Dees man, loving Brayshaw’s work at the moment.

But bear in mind his scores in both this year’s JLT and at the end of last year were with no Viney in the side.

I was really hoping to see Viney play JLT to gauge any impacts on Brayshaw’s scoring but unfortunately it didn’t happen.

        2

        0
        1. Viney maybe (hopefully) will also be in the softly, softly come back as a running receiver and not hard ball gets (HBG) just yet so Brayshaw will still have the same role.

          0

          0
    1. When he was at the swanneez and was given the free running role, things were ok, but when he was needed to tighten up a bit he struggled.

      3

      0
    1. I think he is priced at 40’s so he should be looking at a bit higher score than that, if he stays injury free he is most likely my F4

      2

      1
  20. I know not to read to much into jlt games, and this isn’t about performance, more about points attributed for performance.

Grundy, 17 disposals and 32 hit outs. 85 points.
Is this concerning since he didn’t have a bad game?
Anyone she’d light on what happened here and if they can is it a worry?

    Tu-grundy is fine
    Td-im concerned by points attributed.

    7

    0
    1. There should be no need to worry statistically given the fact
In 2017 Grundys JLT average was 81 in 81% TOG, that year in the season he averaged 97.2

in 2018 Grundy’s JLT average was 84.8 in 85.4 TOG, that year in the season he averaged 130.4

So this year his JLT score of 85 points from 88% TOG where he also copped a knock and played on is not concerning at all
So Absolutely no worry mate !

  21. TU: A cheap R3 with a decent loophole fixture
TD: A cheap R3 Ruc/Fwd to be able to loophole Westhoff etc during byes – but a slightly worse loophole fixture

    1

    5
  22. Do we trust Mr Magnets enough to be able to start Dunkley?

    TU: We do.
TD: We do not. Knowing our luck, he’ll probably stick him in a bloody forward pocket!

    1

    5
  23. Stick with Williams after missing JLT2?

    T.U: Yep, he’ll be fine. Expect him to average between 95 – 100 as a reliable D3.
T.D: No, indicative of a pattern. Steer clear.

    7

    4
  24. If there are no playing R3 options come round 1, what are people planning to do about ruck cover this year?

TU: Stick the cheapest, most loophole-friendly ruck at R3 and hope for no injuries.
TD: Put a RUC/FWD loophole at R3 and start a Westhoff/Lycett/Lobb/Vardy type in the forward line.

    6

    2
    1. Start Bines as cheap R/F 102k with West Coast playing most games early in the season after Grundy plays and leaves the swing set open if a swingman is needed or pops up later in the season.

      3

    2. If going gg just trade to whomever if one gets injured, while running a loop hole, because you don’t know which one will go 150 week to week. If your not then yes have a back up.

      0

      0
      1. But if you are spending that amount of money and going for one of the GG combinations, surely you don’t want to trade them out if they’re only going to miss a week or two?

        0

        0
        1. depends on situation. Maby downgrade an under performer elsewhere(cough cough hibberd) and put in a cheap option for the week or 2. If early on just go goldy or nank etc so yo don’t fall to far behind. Or cop a zero for a week or 2 since a lot of people will be making similar choices.

Guess it comes down to what your personal stance is on having the available ruc/fwd’s in the fwd line is.

          0

          1
          1. Hmm…. I play for overall, so a doughnut is less than ideal.

Perhaps Woosha will solve this problem for us by naming Clarke for round 1?

            0

            2
  25. Like every year…….guess now, curse round 1, pray to Murphy round 2 and make 2 trades for round 3, standard for all positions LOL

      1. Cheers allsaints, I am struggling big time with F3.

Had Boak for bit , but I’m not convinced he will be that special and I already have a fair few Port Players.

Forwards are doing my head in this year.

    1. Don’t think so mate. There’s enough rookies, uber and discounted premos to fill your 11 spots.
I’d only start Brouch if you think he’ll play 22 and become a keeper (105+), and I’d only start Libba if you think he can average 92+ AND play enough games to get to $460k.
I’m not confident of either scenario playing out.
