A Midpricer Team

Written by Motts on February 25 2012

Had a bit of a muck around this afternoon putting into one team all the mid-priced (ish) blokes who have tempted me this pre-season. Pendles gets a run because you need a perma-captain – could quite easily have taken GAJ.

Rookies are all interchangeable based on remaining nab Cup results. No bye strategy has been taken into account. $6,400 left in the bank.

Whaddya reckon?

  1. Not yet sold on Christensen and Sidebottom but Suckling and Heppel could prove great pod’s. Does anyone rate Marty Clarke as a starter?

  2. Other players that could easily have slotted into that team: Rohan, Porplyzia, and Ballantyne. Anyone got any others?

  3. What does everyone think of Jack Watts? Fourth season of senior footy and looked pretty good in patches last year. Now with Mitch Clark in the team he might rack up a few more possessions up the ground.

  4. Phil Davis, Hargreaves or Hogan anyone?

BTW Motts re the Swan post I have a few friends in the inner circle who say the brownlow medalist often attends TRAMP bar and gathers so many “disposals” inside that when he leaves he can’t find his car which is parked at the front of the venue.

Regarding the “D” word the AFL Disgusts me, any other sport on the planet its 1strike and your punished, I don’t like this 3strikes for some and as many as you like for our so called superstars.
Buddy and Swan if ur reading this pull ur heads in.

Feel free to take it down, just wanted to concur that everyone knows what’s going on and that cover ups in the afl are as real as Demitriou is Eddies B!TC#.

  5. Had to have a go after seeing this post, not to bad a team.
Deledio (vc), suckling, hurn, Burgoyne, duffield, lake, hargrave, (Wilkes, Lockyer)

Ablett (c), Martin, shuey, zakaharis,  Hayes, McDonald, (Gibson, Mitchell)

    Kruzer, macintosh, (Giles, Stephenson)

Lewis,  sidebottom, dangerfield, brown, christensen, Rohan, Porplyzia, (saad, crozier)

I’d swap Keizer and mac for cox and rowe, with Giles on the field

  6. Hi guys – if you’re looking for a roughy I’m leaning towards Jason Tutt MID from the dogs. He’s about 322k and played 3 games last year at an average of 85. Takes pack marks and can leap. Good for a few goals as I hear he’ll play up front.
BUT – I just can’t bring bring it on myself to risk at 322k. I’m also considering Gaff, but then I think I’m forcing the issue to much……

    Thoughts????

  7. All depends on your strategy. Gaff will be a star and Tutt looked good late, but they are awkwardly priced for a G&R strategy.
