  1. Mixed feelings… Goddard still in the right colour spectrum… still looking frustrated at this early stage of the game..
    Bombers getting exposed..
gee Tex is looking imposing.. was considering him at FF but couldn’t commit in the end. I’m shocked I didn’t put Danger in after having him all preseason.. bet he kills it now (went GAJ, Swan, Pendles, Cotchin instead. At this stage).
    Loving Heppell thus far.
Can’t wait ’till the AFL server comes online so we can see some live scores!

  2. Good to see a couple of old school regulars still on the site tonight. It’s been pretty bloody full on these last few days. Nice to be able to take a breath.

  3. kommer was non existent early, then exploded onto the seen, if he had kicked that goal hed be on like 100 sc right now. can live with 22, really liking my crouch to kommer trade at this stage.
heppell was everywhere! in that first quarter. hope he can keep that going. will prove to be a great 450k pickup.

  4. looks like supercoach scores for ruckman might not be as easy this year. less chances of hitouts with them speeding that up. none of jacobs, bellchambers or ryder have scored much at all so far

  5. Kommer is looking good and Heppell started well.
Can’t wait for footy to move to adelaide oval. Sell out crowd yet still somewhat lacking in atmosphere/noise.
I shouldn’t comment though because I’m not there.

  6. I’ve got Jacobs as R2 to Maric, and Goddard & Heppell on field.
Luke Brown as an Emergency in my backline.
Kept Crouch on my pine. Didn’t pick up Kommer. I’ve gone Toumpas instead. Again, at this stage…

    and U guys?

  7. Was considering putting Johncock into my fwd line and Broughton in my backline for DPP fwd/def but passed on both.

  8. C’mon boys, why are there no quarter time scores put up? Last year there would be competition to see who could get em up first?

  10. Glad I didn’t put to VC on Dangerfield, reckon this might be a relatively quiet start for him. Hopefully he’ll get stuck in during the second half.

    Other thoughts:
Glad I stuck with Heppell. Crouch become Stevens, hopefully it’ll pay off.

  11. Hmm danger looks set to get a lot of attention this year. And I can’t believe essendons! They look super fit, and the crows look sluggish. Even Dangerfield looks slow. I’m happy I included Brown into my team.
Oh and Motts I hope you kept wright in your team he’s on fire!

  12. Looks like little lukey brown subbed off with a foot injury.
Having my first(of many) selection regrets. Brought him in this morning for crouch.
    ..and so it begins..

  14. Not liking the new rule about sliding.
Seeing two players standing up with the ball between them on the ground is going to take some time to get used to.

  15. Was just thinking about Watson this afternoon when someone I’m quite competitive with told me they had Danger and I knew I didn’t
…and one of their POD’s they had over me last year was Watson.
Why didn’t I pick him? gahhhh

  16. Great win by the boys. As a supporter it was great to see the emotion form the lads.

Kommer solid debut, backline looked good (fletch is unbelievable…) and I was wondering if davey had a place in the side, but played well tonight.

    GO BOMBERS!

  18. zaharakis could be a very very good target come round 3 or so, especially if essendon continue to ease him in. his price could be dangerously low in a few weeks.

  19. Have Ryder in my draft team … I really thought he would improve this year. Still plenty of time for him but I was surprised with the low score.

  20. What a disaster of a game for me. 3 bloke I was hoping for 110.

Goddard 86, heppell 73 and bloody danger 63.

Lucky for me its not a league scoring week.

VC on danger so fair to say I won’t be taking that as the captain loophole.

Still no need to panic yet.

    All the same, bloody hell!

    Cheers.

  21. Last night was a great example on Dangerfields consistency, one of the main reasons why I didn’t pick him. People with Dangerfield, expect this for most of the season.

So glad that I didn’t take Crouch out, he would surely play next week now that L.Brown is on crutches?

  22. Over all ,Jacobs was beaten by Ryder and Bellchambers in the ruck yet scored more pts then them. Otten had a crap game and scored 88 pts.
The commentators gave clangers to Heppell when they were Kommers who received more 3 pts less than Heppell.
No Tippett no Crows by the look of it.
    Essendon were impresive .
Umpires 4 out of 10 .I could write a book on their mistakes last night.
Its a pity the ” diving ” by players is still conning the umps .
Sanderson was out coached by Hird. Numerous mistakes made by Sanderson and it all started with Jenkins on the bench to start the game instead of in the fwd line .After 15 minutes their game plan was gone and they played catchup footy the rest of the game. They are also slow in pace. Dangerfield was obviously not well and shouldnt have played .Crouch should have started , Tambling will play next week ( he has a better disposable efficiency than ie Ablett, Swan , Pendles , Watson) .Milburn, ex Cats player, has been for 1.5 yrs been helping Tambling with his reading of the game so maybe he will improve.
