AFL 2010 Magazine

by Motts on March 17, 2010

For those of you living in Melbourne, it’d be worth getting your hands on the AFL 2010 magazine in tomorrow’s Herald Sun. There is sure to be plenty of SuperCoach gold in there!

For those of you who aren’t lucky enough to live in The World’s Most Liveable City, I’ll glean what I can from it and post all the good oil on the site.

most of the supercoach gold they give goes something along the lines of, “lock in gary ablett, hes a star”

Hard to argue with that logic. The question is: WHEN do you lock him in?

I know what you mean though, Toby. If its anything like the Little Black Book my summary of it will be very, very brief.

Hey Motts, any word on whether there will be a pre-season spreadsheet on the supercoach website like last year where players 4 pre-season games points were listed

Haven’t heard anything but would be surprised if they didn’t do it.

For what its worth you can get the DT scores from Champion Data’s Fantasy Freako.

thanks, man.
No magazine in Herald today for us poor Taswegians. Might have to import one like I did with the Little Black Book.

By the sounds of it, AA, you already know whatever’s in there anyway. You honestly couldn’t tell me the LBB provided much insight you didn’t already know.

the LBB is only usefull to have as price reference when trying to build a team. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Herald to produce a proper magazine & sell it ala The AFL Pre-Season Guide.

I got the mag, but I don’t know if you’ll find it that useful. Looks to have been put together a while ago as it has no pre season info and highlights players that will do well for their team but have actually been injured for a few weeks (i.e Jurrah). No direct info on supercoach or any supercoach scores, just a one player per team “fantasy pick” for those looking for a good buy. Nothing you don’t already know though

Thanks Swiper. I haven’t managed to get to the newsagent yet. Given your review I won’t rush down.

The magazine is junk. I have read on another forum that all the preaseason supercoach scores will be on the superfooty website from Monday morning. Bring it on.

Keeping a lid on it @ Collingwood...We are only taking it one flag @ a time December 20, 2010 at 6:43 pm

Good to see that Omar is an enthusiastic supporter, but on another, completely unrelated note, I was dissed by a Carlton supporter the day about Collingwood only winning two flags in the last the last twenty years. He was rather pleased with himself until I pointed out that we’d actually won twice as many flags as Carlton in that time period.
It’s not often -actually its never happened before- that I get the last laugh talking flags with unruly Carlton fans, but, that was sweet.
The actual reason that I came here however, is to ascertain when the SC 2011 game is going to be up, what changes there are etc…..probably a little early, but, I thought/hoped that maybe something would be on display to read.
