  1. Collingwood rookie Brody Mihocek (102k DEF) is set to make his debut this weekend.
Is perfect timing if he can hold his spot after the bye as he becomes a great downgrade target in rd 14

    1. Murphy yes, Murray no. That’s my guess. T. Walker and E. Betts have both been raving about the defensive forward pressure that Murphy provided them when they won against the Dogs + earlier in the season. The crows were poor in that regard last week, therefore he’ll come in this week for me – well i hope he is!!

  2. Wow, that’s a first for a while!

Finally I can do the trades I’d planned to do, before the actual teams come out on a Thursday night!

  3. S***.

I trade Howe in to cover my cash cow carnage over last weeks team selections. Not only does he absolutely stink it up on the weekend, but now he’s injured. Luckily I have Ridley on the bench.

This season has been a complete write-off for me.

    1. Feel your pain Jov….had a similar mare two years ago…everyone I brought in got hurt or suspended. This year is different….. got 28 playing this week.

  4. Bugger. Mirra out really stuffs my trade plans. May have to miss out on Walters and bring Ridley in to avoid the doughnut. Fingers crossed Murray gets a game, but think that may be wishful thinking.

    1. Similar situation – need Murray or Murphy to be named or else I (a) take a defensive donut (2nd week in a row) (b) miss out on Walters (need to grab Smith regardless).

My trades are well-planned out if I don’t have to do a last-minute defensive trade, so here’s hoping…

  5. With mirra and howe out might have to reassess my plan of tim kelly and billings to tim smith and rocky/walters.
Thinking i should go kelly to smith and then mirra out for someone playing. Billings survives again!

Best option for mirra (already have rice)
    T/u ridley
    T/d webster or simpson

    1. Ridley if you need the cash generation. Simmo if you need a premo and aren’t too defender premo heavy for round 12.

  6. Brodie GC finally gets a chance. Had him in my team since day dot and he’s a gun. Keep an eye on him and don’t forget you heard it here first:)

      1. Haha….a beautiful set and forget is Simmo. He’s first picked every year till he retires. I think he’s missed 5 games in 6 years.

      2. I’m not a big believer in stats like this, but here you go:

        Simpson’s last three vs Sydney: 125, 148, 115.

        1. It’s the only side he has scored 3 consecutive 100+’s against in the past 3 matches against each opponent and he is equal first for the
highest average in last 3 games VS Round 11 opponent (129.33)

          4

          1. I have to bring him in this week now that Howe is out, so he was stuffed anyway!
I can’t believe I nominated Heeney as my number one forward last year. Here it is, two months into the season and I still don’t have him

            1. Really wanted to get him after the byes. Oh well. Will be ok. I now have a 5 Premo backline and 1 pretender Premo.

  7. What’s the likelihood Beams can kick on for rest of the year? He’s capable of say a 110-115 avg, had a fairly terrible start to the season both on/off the field, which was understandable really, but now could go onto a bit of a roll, was thinking about trading Kelly for either Beams or Rocky – save close to $120k with Rocky, but will Rocky need upgrading while Beams mightn’t, and most readers here say a trade is worth around $150k. Both have injury history and both can go large, what’s the general consensus?

    T/U – Beams
    T/D – Rocky

    Thanks

  8. Trading Garlet to Smith. Eying off Rockliff due to his low BE, underpriced and good bye coverage.

    But who to trade out?

TU Bontempelli (due to BE of 170 and 47 lingering, plus leaves me with $269k for future upgrades)

TD Taranto (BE of 119, but only leaves me with $136k ITB)

    1

    12
    1. Why would you trade either of those to a player who carries greater risk than both the incumbents?!

      5

  9. with Howe out for maybe 3 weeks , might trade down to Heron ( GC ) , use the $ to trade through the byes & bring Howe back in R 15 after his price drop , heron’s 102k is tempting but JS isn’t great , well worth it if he plays 4 in a row ..

    1

    6
      1. its a tuff 1 , with mirra & murphy out im lookn & a donut in the backline this week , another upset loss in my league matches might sent me to the loony bin , have a pretty strong team on field but with my other bench players , garlett , LDU , Barry , olango , ratagulea & spargo , gna get scorched through the byes , trading Kelly to smith & howe to heron at least gives me 900k for upgrades R12 , 13 , 14 ..

        1

  10. I traded in howe last week which was great timing.

No defense player as cover so tossing up if i trade him out again.

    Tu – trade to premo
Td – trade coffield up to someone worth about 400k/downgrade to rice
