  1. Early news I’m hearing is that Williams will miss, Crouch SHOULD return & also for anyone who hasnt heard despite making the trip rocky is out

    2

    7
  2. TU: O’Brien to Fort, Constable to Kelly (Josh)
TD: Scrimshaw to Hinge, Constable to Taranto

      1. Terrible year – worst on record – but I am doubling down.

        Scrim —> hinge
        Const —> Baker

  3. | Zac Williams looks set to miss another week
Then Zac Williams looks set to become Whitfield. I’ve seen this GWS “one more week” hoodoo before.

    15

    2
  4. No Hinge! I’ve been Josh Glenn’d! Brought him in last week over Young and felt like a genius lol.

    20

    2
  5. No Crouch, again. F**k it, should I just be done with him? He currently sits M6 in front of Walsh and Atkins.

I could swing Duursma into the midfield and trade Crouch to Houli, already going Moore to Ryan this week as well. That would finish of my defense with Hurn, Lloyd, Whitfield, Houli, Ryan and Hore at D6 for now.

    Good idea or too impulsive?

    1. On the fence with Houli GD
Could miss a game or two with injury
Jayden Short back in 4-5 weeks which could impact his scoring back end of season.
Liard, Stewart & Sicily all in the same price bracket.
In the flip side I got every call wrong this season with the Richmond rookies
      Tough call

      2

      1. A good point, Bryson- one I’ve also considered.

Problem is there is only a tiny sample size for me to consider Short’s impact on Houli as they’ve only played in one game together this year: R1, Houli scored 112 off 24 touches.

        Last three weeks he’s gone 106, 102 and 142 off 30, 35 and 37 disposals respectively.

Now, is that form or Short’s absence that’s leading to him getting so much of the ball?

Probably both. I think Short’s return will have an impact on the amount of disposals Houli gets, as Short’s usually the looser of the two. Unsure of how much that will hamper his scoring by, still playing a nice half-back role.

That said, Stewart is a no go for me bc of the R13 bye. Not liking Laird either, Smith stealing his thunder and Sicily hasn’t shown the ceiling nor consistency from last year.

Ty though, Bryson. Will let it percolate.

    1. Bewley
Bewley had a low score because he had an injury which resulted in low game time, however with more game time he will get higher scores.
I reckon it’s worth going a week early on him

      6

      8
      1. What do people think of his chances of getting back before the bye? He misses this week, I would think he will get rested through the bye and they’ll re-evaluate then (he’s a younger guy, don’t want to overload first season).

TU: he’ll be back post-byes (if at all)
TD: he’ll slot in next week

        10

        0
    1. I’ve got him also. Only reason I’m holding is because I’ve held for this long, no point wasting that by trading him now. Hopefully back next week I assume?

      13

      1
      1. Problem is they’ll ease him back in. His TOG has been sub par for an elite mid this year and coming back from an injury won’t help that…

        9

        0
  6. Another doughnut sitting in the mid thanks to, Crouch, Constable, Hately and Scott. Crouch or Constable looking to make way.
3 rookies playing this weekend, so far. Baker, Bewley and Gardner. Rule out Gardner due to 0 games, Bewley only played 1 but Baker with thin JS. Constable downgrade adds 200k to the bank.
Other hand Crouch could be traded to the likes of Fyfe, Bont, Sloane. However no strong confidence on durability.

    Cover doughnut by
    TU Crouch -> Premo
TD Constable -> Downgrade and plenty of cash for the byes

    5

    23
  7. TU Baker
    TD Bewley
I liked the look of Bewley and think he has much more upside and likely JS especially since Baker will likely be replaced by one of Lever or May in the next couple of weeks.

    13

    11
  8. Seriously considering…

Had enough of Brayshaws scoring… unsure on Williams return, Whitfield & Boak set & forget…

    Z Williams & A Brayshaw

    To

    L Whitfield & T Boak

    TU OR TD

Feel free give me a reason why I shouldn’t do it ! Thanks all! Goodluck!

    19

    7
  9. Need to make a downgrade to ensure I get Lloyd this week:
    T/u – Oskar Baker
    T/d – Begley

    14

    13
  10. Sick of this Adelaide BS! How can a player be ‘close’ to playing 3 weeks in a row?!?!?

    Pack of rats toss bags!

    22

    1
  11. Is Gardner straight into the Bulldogs side worth a punt? Not even on the interchange. They must be impressed.

    7

    11
    1. Immediate entry into the side means a) they rate him, b) he’s going to be playing a much needed role and c) his JS should be solid.

Wait a week though. See if it all goes smoothly. After that, I wouldn’t see a problem going early.

      10

      1
      1. What else could go wrong and taking the punt on Gardner for my wife’s team along with J Cameron for Scrimshaw and Petrucelle.

        3

        1
    2. wait and watch him for 2 games.
don’t thinks it’s worth the risk going early on him.

      5

      0
    3. What ever he scores has to be better than looking down the barrel at a Big Fat Zero. …So sick of S’Field sitting in the Fwd line like a Shag on a rock !

      TU yeh take the punt

Td Nah, You’re off yr rocker

      Thanx All

      2

      1
  12. Arrrgggg what the f is Kade Simpson doing in my team. 90+ average for 10 seasons straight and 2x 105+ when Docherty was not in the picture. Picked him over Hurn who was $50k cheaper. By far my worst starting selection and hold this year.

    2

    4
  13. Not to be burnt on another rookie must be the focus coming into the byes or for that matter anytime.
Why were the good rookies mentioned early doors, because they are good rookies ffs
Why do we take a punt on average rookies ? because we are stupid.
Bewley had wraps early and gee wizz im going early.
Surely ,straight in the side and showed plenty last week .
As the father says triple money back , im sayin great gamble.

    6

    1
  14. What do you sick dogs rekon
    TU
    Rockliff to J Kelly
    Gibbons to Bewely

    TD
    Petruccelle to J Cameron
    Gibbons to Bewely

Feel like Rockliff will keep being “1 week away” for the next couple weeks so is tempting to say good riddance to the bastard and get Kelly, as this week is really the only week I can get him in before he pushes 700k.

However I feel like upgrading pettrucelle to Cameron is more responsible (would go Dunkley or boak but can’t afford) but don’t really trust Cameron.

    4

    8
  15. If Darragh Joyce from the Saints is selected, should I trade Wilkie out for him?

    T/up – Yes

    T/down – No

    1

    12
      1. Why have they taken him mate? Is Geary likely a late out (not ready) with Paton still being managed. I’m surprised we’re going tall against PTA. Strange selection to me.

        1

        0
  16. *PLEASE READ*
I’m doing a Comp with my brother and whoever ends up on more total points at the end of year gets $100 from the other one. He’s starting to get away from me and maybe like 200-300 points ahead and I need to make a move so I think getting josh kelly in is crucial even if I don’t get him from upgrading a rookie.
I have Rockliff and Crouch and they both sitting on bench so I feel like on of em gotta go.
    TU
    Rockliff to Kelly
    TD
    M Crouch to Kelly
Reply for other options. Opinion appreciated 🙂

    27

    5
  17. Hinge being out has cucked me with my trades. Wanting to upgrade Constable to Duncan but I’m unable to if I can’t find a suitable downgrade from Wilkie. Any options lads?

    0

    1
    1. Could go super early on Gardner making his debut for the doggies?
Good Dpp status aswell – Fwd/Def

      2

      3
  18. Wanting cash for the next few rounds. Looking at trading out R O’Brien & Constable. ROB will only be helpful for 1/3 bye rounds (& that’s if he keeps his spot once Jacobs returns) whereas replacing him with a premium Mid or Fwd (that doesn’t have the R13 bye), helps out for 2/3 weeks.

So, Trade out – ROB & Constable & Trade in –

    TU: Sweet & J Cameron $190k left
TD: Sweet & Sloane $75k leftover

    4

    2
  19. Think I may hold fire this week as I don’t see anything that will make my team better short- or long-term that would not be better to do over the byes. I am going to need some downgrade targets pre-byes and I am going to have to target some budget options post-byes if I am to get to full premo (otherwise, I don’t see where the cash will come from).

17 trades left, 169k in the bank
    D – Hurn / Whitfield / Sicily / Laird / Rozee / Hore // Answerth / Quaynor
    M – Macrae / Neale / Cripps / Yeo / Sloane / Walsh / Stack / Duursma // Hayes / Constable / ScottB
    R – Gawn / Grundy // ClarkeZ
    F – Kelly / Dangerfield / Heeney / Dunkley / Parker / Corbett // Young / Cavarra
