  2. 2 trades left, in a semi this week

TU: Joel Smith to Nathan Freeman, Nank to Grundy
TD: Nank to Stefan Martin and leave one injury trade

    Thanks all

    1. CrouchSpuds, would you consider Goldy ahead of Stef,Bulldogs this week, then Sauce and a reckless St.Kilda for sc grang final

      6

      1
        1. Hey, thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, I’m considering Goldy and Stanley (also has an easy run) along with Martin. Who would you guys go out of the 3?

          0
  3. Nank! Nooo! Thankfully have the 3 trades left. Will have to look at the run home for the rucks. Grundy is the obvious choice though. Potentially will want to stretch that money as far as possible, so if I see a bit of a ‘value’ ruck I may lean that way.

Anyways, thanks for the services Nank! You did exactly what I asked of you when I was debating on ruckmen during the pre-season. Great to see the little-big-man work his way around the ground all year. Became one of my favourite rucks while watching him play.

    1. I have to admit, I took a long time to get on the Grundy train, but I cannot speak highly enough that one trade has made. I brought him in finally when NicNat went down. And I had Kreuz earlier …
He is a whopping 21.9% higher than Stef (3rd ranked) in pts and avg. Only Gawn compares, and I assume everyone in here has Gawn. Goldy is 4th, 29.1% behind Grundy, Sinclair at 31.9% behind. Nank is 33.2% behind … but will be traded out. That is a massive differential in just one slot. Now if you’re looking at mids, can you make 10% with each of 2 trades for the 110k total it’d take to upgrade Nank to Grundy, ahead of Goldy / Martin? If so, it may be worth it.
I just wish I’d ponied up for the premium for Grundy earlier in the season … even if only for the extra VC loophole opportunity.

      1. Thanks for that Alex. I’ll definitely be locking in Grundy now. Will check out value options in other positions to see what I can do with that spare cash I have.

  4. Nank the first of many “soft tissue” rested players for the top teams as finals loom. Dusty will be next.

  5. Ahh these are the teams I love! Told my friend before the season even started that he would run out of trades before finals. I was 100% correct and he has had JJK, De Goey, Taranto, Gaff and Nank in the past few weeks and could only trade 1 which was a week ago for JJK.
Conveniently he is playing my this week in the Semi and because of Nank and Gaff with Dawson being dropped he now has 2 doughnuts 🙂 I told him it would hurt him but he didn’t listen and he went quiet when those teams came out, yet he was vocal all week about DeGoey looking to return.

  6. Feel for all you guys that have something to play for , missed finals last week ,(pissed off), nank out this week , never mind i don’t have too much to worry about.

  7. last two trades gone,
Nank to Grundy, it took two trades to get there due to not enough cash,
been wanting to get grundy in but last few weeks (well for ages really, but always had a more pressing problems)
anyway sitting 1700 ish, big thanks to all on this site, love reading all the articles and advice given the coaches.
again many thanks and good luck in the finals and o/all if your in the hunt.

  8. Who to field??

    T/U – ZGL

    T/D – Flyin’ Ryan

Comment: sub T-Mac to DEF – fielding both ZGL & Ryan instead of Mihocek

  9. Help, need advice.
I have 1 trade left and have Nankervis and gaff. Not sure who to trade of the two.

I am in 2 cash leagues and in prelim final next week and elim final this week in the other. Want to win at least one premiership.

Do I trade gaff for McRae and cop donut fron Nankervis this week. OR

Trade Nankervis and bring in grundy which and avoid a donut.

Decision will depend on how long Nankervis will be out. Is it only a 1 week injury?. I will most likely lose this weeks elim final if I cop the donut but win if I get in grundy.

If I trade gaff I do have bench cover in Giro, spargo.

Have to consider next weeks prelim game also. Can’t afford a donut next week as next weeks game will be tougher

    Feedback appreciated

    1. Last game he played was against Hawthorn in round 2. Maybe the Cats just really like him against the Hawks?

He was shocking in that game though from memory. I remember seeing him not knowing where to stand etc all game.

  10. I feel bad…in my two salamander leagues, both oppts have nank and gaff.
Am I being too magnanimous or should I thank my lucky stars and hope they are short on trades ?
