      1. Thanks Schwartz.

        Random question ..

Who did “The Team” V / Captain this week ?

I hope we took one of the rucks as V/C 🙂

        1. over on coaches box mate! Schwarzy had VC on Gawn … he’s rolling the dice on Cripps ………… …

          KIDDING!!!

        2. One trade used – Parker to Baker (RIC)
          VC Gawn
          TEAM looking solid for Rd6.
Unfortunately it was a little too hard to get the polls happening. Things are back to normal next week

    1. Already traded out Clark, didn’t jump the gun on Hately, keeping Burgess for the swing when I do some upgrading but Scott’s omission stings a little. He would have made 20k~ if he played, grr!

      1. Writing was on the wall for Scott I think – already been dropped once and hasn’t showed much … I traded him out last night … not happy he hasn’t made enough though …

        1. In other news … McAdam (remember him) is now fit and will debut in the SANFL for the Crows this week. Let’s hops he goes OK.

    2. I passed on Ross for Hately next week.
      That hasn’t worked out well.
Really didn’t need the Richmond bubbles playing on a Wednesday

  1. Bugger about Hatley. Decided to pass on Ross for Hatley in a couple of weeks, but may have been a bad decision.

      1. Will be keeping an eye on Hayes Chillo, fingers crossed he has a good one. Hoping that North or Bewley from Freo get a look in soon. May be a couple to keep our eye on in the near future if Freo look to make some changes. Good luck this week mate.

        1. don’t forget that Connor Blakely not far off … listed as “test” for this weekend … could be a sneaky late in … and he would be ahead of the rooks …

    1. This is a game of luck sometimes…..good and bad……I had same plan re Hately but went LDU for Ross, mainly for cash generation.

  2. That hurt hately omitted it was him or Ross I decide to wait a week thought he had better JS I choose wrong 🙁
Ross looks great the other night anyone no how much he cost now

    1. I’d think he would mate, but not certain, just a gut feel due to his previous performances and only getting rested last week.

    2. Looking at the extended squad I’d be pretty confident in saying that it will be Tuohy in for Clark and Constable in for Parfitt.

      1. I think Geelong naming 2 rucks to come in means big Sav is dropped or Stanley is going to have a rest.

Also, Rotham a possible for his 3rd game. Good average too

PS. I posted a similar message earlier, but it appears to have been deleted. Clearly Schwarz wants to keep Rotham to himself 😀

        1. With Hately out and Hayes looking like only juicy downgrade choice next week, is Clark to Rotham wise if Rotham starts ? Fortunately its the last game of the round, but I’m still worried about Rotham js. Lewis and Moore at Hawks look like only other bubble boys likely next week.

          3

  3. It looks like Constable won’t play.

Menegola, Tuohy and Miers are all locked in and with Abbott and Fort named it looks as if the cats will opt for 2 ruckman to play against Vardy and Hickey. A bit disappointing if this does eventuate as Constable looks a very promising prospect.

    1. Interesting theory! I guess we’ll find out tomorrow night….although considering it’s Geelong, we might have to wait until Sunday.

    2. Are you saying that because there’s a couple of rucks on the bench that one of them will certainly play?? If Constable doesn’t play I’ll run around the MCG nude

    3. Was undecided about using my 2nd trade this week – was looking to upgrade Collins to either Hurn or Lloyd (was leaning Hurn due to lower BE & price) …

If Constable doesn’t play – would it be better to just take either Gibbons or Atkins score as my emergency & still upgrade Collins?
If so, Gibbons or Atkins as “E”? Hurn or Lloyd?

Or upgrade Scott as he has been dropped to someone who can play as MID/FWD to replace Constable, then swing them into forward line later?

Thinking Worpel playing Carlton? Or Daniel (don’t trust Mr Magnets though)

      T/U – still upgrade Collins

      T/D – upgrade Scott instead

      10

      3
        1. Yes i do know that allsaints.

I am trying to avoid using 2 “E” on the same line, as i will get the lower score of the two.

          Thanks for the reply though

          1

      1. So if I trade out Clark, the only rookie on the bubble is Rotham, assuming he makes it into Sundays team. So my choices are either to trade out Clarke for Rotham, or trade out Clarke, swing Burgess from Fwd bench to def bench, and then find a rookie fwd, of which there isn’t one, now that I’ve missed Baker, because I didn’t want to spend $162k. And if Petruccelle is dropped, I’m facing a donut in the forward line, with Setterfield & Burgess both out. I think I’m screwed this week.
TU : Trade out Clark for Rotham, purely to generate some cash, as I have none. I have only used one trade to date.
TD : Save the trades and pray that I’m not left with a donut in the forward line.

        10

        1. The only reason Petrucelle wouldn’t play is if WC are hiding some injury from us. He kicked 5.2 last week, he’s not getting dropped anytime soon.

          6

          0
          1. Or they wanna rest him and save him the travel and recognise he’ll have far less impact at a comparatively small ground like GMHBA …

            4

            0
  4. Good to see Josh Corbett get a chance. Need FWD rookies coming through for those that didn’t go with Baker

  5. Thoughs on Goldstein to obrien . He is averaging only 10 less than Goldstein. Build a cash war chest of 400k. Let obrien increase in value, then upgrade to grundy in 5-6 weeks time. Thoughts please

    10

    8
    1. If you’re fielding O’Brien then I think the trade is still worthwhile. If he’s only bench cover behind Grundy/Gawn, then I’d give him a miss at his elevated price.

      5

      0
      1. Thanks Chips, obrien would be used on ground and not as bench cover.

I think it is worth the risk. The immediate cash of 400k would be used to upgrade to 2 premo, one def and 1 fwd. in 5 weeks time obrien should have peaked and I will find a way to bring in grundy around the bye rounds

  6. Rough that Hately is out, as I thought his JS was pretty good. Lucky I had him from the start and didn’t use a trade to get him, still disappointing though… 🙁

    1. I’m curious if he picked up a niggle or came up a bit too sore and they’re easing him in. I thought he went alright and should have gotten another run.

  7. Cry me a river ? Collingwood was in front for 100% and would have been an injustice to lose. Ess lost it in the first qtr. there own fault. To boo Pendleton was disgraceful in the context of Anzac day. Buckley was right in what he said, gave those ess supporters a quick direct, clip for their behaviour

    1. Great stuff CT.

While Sheed is listed HFF, you’d have to think Redden OUT (could be two or three weeks) is good news for those who held onto him, with Waterman surely playing the HF role?!
