Again, all these figures are based on an analysis of the last five years, looking at what price discounts are allocated to players who play seven or less games in the preceding season. There are rules (as below) but it can get quite complicated. If my assumptions are correct, then these prices should be 99% accurate, so am hoping they prove useful for planning purposes.

Please note, I am not sure what to do with Liberatore as he played 5 mins in game one for 13pts. I am presuming that they will treat him as someone who played 0 games and will therefore be afforded a 30% discount, rather than being priced at $123,900 (the norm, given his average for his one game)!

The Rules:

If a player plays less than 8 games then there are some generic discounts that apply (regardless of whether they are an established player or a rookie).

6-7 games: if a player plays only six or seven games in a season, then he receives a 10% discount on regulation pricing. There are no exceptions I can find.

4-5 games: if a player plays only four or five games in a season, then he receives a 20% discount on regulation pricing, again there are no exceptions that I can find.

For one, two and three game players it becomes a little more complicated, but there are some rules.

3 games: there are two rules:
– If a player averages less than 50 he receives a 20% discount off starting price, and
– If a player averages more than 50 he receives a 30% discount (yes, I know that seems counter-intuitive, but it is correct)

1 and 2 games:
– All players who average more than 70 receive a 40% discount
– Rookies who average between 50 and 70 receive a 30% discount
– Established players who average between 50 and 70 receive a 20% discount
– Rookies who average less than 50 receive a 20% discount (but will not be priced less than the standard rookie price, ie what is $123,900 in 2018)
– Established players who average less than 50 are potatoes and should not be considered under any circumstances 😉

0 games: you will find proj’d prices for those who missed the entire season under the Progress Scores for Rd23.

    1. Finals SC scores do not influence SuperCoach pricing. Only home & away scores and averages are used by SC for price calculations.

That said, there’s no harm in looking at players’ SC scores in finals to help inform your selection decisions for 2019 😉

      1. With the exception that they do take finals into account when deciding dpp’s for 2019.

If Danger plays pure mid through the finals he’s no chance of mid-fwd dual position.
