Players must be able to play at least 19 games this season to make it into my team so Michael Johnson loses out to Trengove for CHB and Shane Mumford can’t be considered for the 2nd ruck position.

There will be arguments for and against, I think this team suits everyone’s positions. Most people in the team have been consistent to date.

    Unlucky to miss:
Dangerfield, Selwood, Roughie, Boak, Sloane, Fyfe, Wingard.
Of this bunch Fyfe and Selwood – obviously Joel – is unluckiest, but I can’t pick them above the others atm.

Surprise pick: could Nic Nat sneak in? Selectors normally reward late form. If he keeps getting better he could be a dark horse.

Feel free to tell me what you think.

  11. Not sure why there’s so much love for Scott D Thompson. Besides the last two weeks, he’s been pretty ordinary this year. Lynden Dunn has played far better and been more consistent.

  12. B Smith, L Dunn, S Burgoyne
    J McVeigh, A Mackie, K Simpson
    D Beams, G Ablett, T Rockcliffe
    NFyfe, L Frankin D Martin
    B Harvey, J Schulze, L Bruest
    A Sandilands, S Pendlebury, J Kennedy
    Bench: J Roughhead, C Ward, J Bartel, T Liberatore

This was not easy but reckon a decent spread for positions played.

  13. Brodie Smith, Dunn, SD Thompson
    Malceski,Hibberd, McVeigh
    Rockliff, JPK, Beams
    R Gray, Buddy, Dusty
    Harvey Schulz Wingard
    Sandilands, Pendlebury, Ablett
    Int. Prestia, Liberatore, Treloar, Ward

I cannot believe I can’t squeeze Joel Selwood or Nat Fyfe in – but who do you leave out?? Treloar and Ward have earned their places this year.

  14. BP – Dunn Hooker Malceski

    HB – Hibberd S.Thompson McVeigh

    C – Beams Pendlebury Fyfe

    HF – Selwood Hawkins Gray

    FP – Bruest Schulz Harvey

    R – Sandilands Ablett Kennedy

I – Liberatore Rockliff Franklin Bartel

This was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be. I really struggled to find a CHB and Thompson pretty much got the nod by default. Selwood starts at half forward as he has a number of times this season while Hawkins leaves the safety of the goal square for Schulz who is an automatic selection at full forward (must hurt those richmond supporters out there).

I think Rockliff deserves a starting spot but I couldn’t squeeze anybody out while Dunn is the 3rd tall backman.

Unlucky ones in my opinion: Ward, Martin, Simpson, S. Johnson, Jacobs, Lobbe, Elliot, Gunston, Rivers, Smith, Birchall, Sloane and Goddard.
