Badger’s Rookie Review

Written by Badger on July 21 2015

Another high scoring week and a massive 2802 from the weekly winner…jeebus what a mighty score.

Still just a little bit of talent floating around at the right price to make this week’s write-up.

DEFENDERS:

Hugh Goddard STK ($122.3K DEF/FWD) scored 72 from five kicks and eight handballs at 92% disposal efficiency (seven contested possessions), three marks, two hitouts, a clearance, two rebound 50’s, 11 one-percenters and an inside 50. An impressive debut game from Goddard and has to hold his place in defence.

MIDFIELDERS:

Kane Lambert ($176.7K MID/FWD) scored 82 from seven kicks and 12 handballs at 58% disposal efficiency (12 contested possessions), three marks, two tackles, a free for and against, a goal, a clearance, a rebound 50 and a score assist. Scored 40 the week before from just 26% game time with 11 disposals, five marks, two tackles and two frees for. Worth considering if you need cash and a MID/FWD link.

James Harmes MEL ($123.9K) scored 79 from 15 disposals, nine of which were contested. An improvement on his first game where he scored just 38 the week before. Has had great form in the VFL for Casey and has shown an ability to accumulate contested ball across this season and last.

RUCKS:

Tom Downie GWS ($168.3K) – scores of 54, 52 and 68 but has had 10 frees against in those three games and none for.

FORWARDS:

An impressive debut game from Goddard and has to hold his place in defence.

Caleb Daniel WB, $173.1Khas now had scores of 65, 67 and 64 in the last three rounds with his first score of 65 starting as sub in Round 14 and coming from just 53 minutes game time.

  1. I watches Harmes and although he didn’t get much of the pill, his disposal was elite. Was able to pinpoint targets inside 50. Very impressed!
