Bartel Trade Poll

Written by MJ on April 21 2015

A lot of us will be licking our wounds after Cat, Jimmy Bartel went down with a knee early in Sunday’s match for just 5 points. He’s going to be sidelined for a least a month, possibly two, so he’ll have to go.

Below is a list of all forwards averaging 100+ after R3, however you may be able to use DPP to trade him in for a midfielder or even a defender, which are also options catered for in the poll.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

  1. I’m going to do something really stupid/brilliant and go for Swan and Bont this week (for Jimmy and Wines), which should maybe hopefully (sacrificing chickens) let me get any mid for Jong next week.

  2. Considering Brodie Smith using Bartel’s $. Do people think he will stay in top 6 FWD’s for the year? or go safe and get Shaw?

  3. What about Goddard or Brent Harvey as options to replace Bartel?

Both have dropped over $36K from their starting prices, both play for sides that should finish in the top 8, and both are generally pretty consistent.

Is their age putting people off?

  4. Can we include Wines here? I traded out Bartel 2 weeks ago for big Tex FWIW

    Thinking of 4 options –
Wines single trade for any Mid under $570k
Wines and Goodes for Joelwood and cheaper defence rookie.
Wines and Newnes for Roberton and Joelwood.
Wines out for Krak, and $500k to upgrade anyone in any position!

    Thanks

Shaw, Lamumba, NEWNES, Saad, McIntosh, Oxley (Brown, GOODES)
Sloane, Fyfe, WINES Beams, Dangerfield, Rich, CEY, Heeney (Miller, Cripps, Smith)
    Goldstein, Bellchambers (Cox)
Swan, Tex, Gray, BENNELL, Bont, Hogan (Clarke, Mcgrath)

  5. I don’t have Jimmy but of the options listed Swanny seems a no brainer for me. Proven gun who seems to be getting back to the old Swanny and with ANZAC day coming this week he’ll score well. In 7 of his last 12 games against the Bombers he’s scored 123+ with three scores in the one 170-180 bracket.

  6. Are people trading to Bonts because they think he’ll be a top 6 forward come season end, or because they’re willing to burn 2 trades on him?

I’m still undecided between him and Franklin…

  7. What are peoples thoughts on actually holding him for another round because i have McGrath on bench and need to use my trades for other purposes.
