As all our teams are really starting to take shape, I’m giving some thought to what the perfect set-up would be (which is what we all want). I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I’m pretty happy with my midfield on paper. The only change I would make would be Priddis to Dangerfield, but like most of you I picked up Priddis cheap, so can’t complain. I only have Kennedy to give me some DPP flexibility. I’m sure plenty of you feel you have a solid or better midfield, so what I’d like to know is what is your midfield and why is it better?

The unbeaten Nomads midfield is currently GAJ, Pendles, Swan, JPK, Watson, Dangermouse, Fyfe and Tommy M with Crouch and Hunter reserves. Dunno if its better but I’m happy 1 more premium spot to go and who gets it is causing me debate and headaches. Griffin, Lids Barlow and Selwood all front runners.
Venom’s current midfield is; Ablett, Pendlebury, Watson, Dangerfield, Kennedy, J, Deledio, Griffen, Mitchell, S ( Mitchell, T & Hrovat, N) Thoughts?

It’s a carbon copy, with Dangerfield instead of Watson. Also have B.Kennedy in there for the DPP, which came in handy last week with Stevie J suspended.
Very solid BS, as expected this time of the SC season there will be plenty of brilliant midfields going around. Although Kennedy in your team has the dpp, I’ve opted for Martin from the Pies, as he’s going to fatten up heaps more in my opinion for me to spend elsewhere in hopefully weeks/finals to come.

Very similar to BS:
GAJ, Pendles, Jobe, Swan, Danger, JPK, Cotchin, Stevie J (T Mitchell, Hrovat).
Stevie J kept in the mids to provide the DPP link, meaning Mitchell provides bench cover for the mids and 3 x mid/forwards until finals (Dusty, Bartel, Rockliff).

Aiming for Fyfe or Priddis to become Beams if he gets a price drop then finds form. I have said it before, and I know he is pricey now, but a lot of people missed Griffin. I got him post his injury in the early rounds and have been rewarded with the highest average of any player since then (143).
It’s never too late, this guy is outscoring GAJ and has GWS this weekend!!!

Just dropped from 200’s overall to 400’s, as have shut the trade door for a month….saving the last 7 for rds 19 onwards……

On paper it is a ripper but with Swan and Cotch turning in low scores I have my heart in my mouth ever week. My gut says O’Keeffe is getting better by the week and his tackle count is rising. Mitchell will probably become a ultra premo in a few weeks time.

My midfield consists of GAJ, Pendles, Jobe A06, Swan, JPK, K.Jack,Fyfe, T.Mitchell (blicavs and crouch).
I’m offloading blicavs for a premium, do I go cheap and get cotchin (TU) or use an extra trade (currently have 9) and go for a griffin or danger(TD) next week?

Most seem pretty similar and mine is no different:

Went Jack as a small POD from most who have JPK (15k selections to 83k). Would have preferred a DPP over Hrovat a M10, but he was the best option when traded in I thought and honestly, I don’t really expect to have to use that spot much with Mitchell on the bench too and decent coverage in the forwards and rucks.
Will be interesting to see who has come closest to the current ‘best 8’ of the midfield-only players which currently (by averages) is:
