  1. Won 2 of my grand finals, sweating on the other minor. I’ve enjoyed this season so much! Props to Motts, BS and Duck for all the work they’ve put into this site. I’d also like to thank all the other regulars for their insight and great banter. For me, it’s time to knuckle down, get through my exam period at school, then focus on the SC preseason! Been a great year, hope to see youse all the next! 🙂

  2. The bragging rights in SCT1 will be going to rustee! My team has failed miserably, but after losing several hundred points worth of firepower i knew I would be up against it. Rustees depth was amazing and I have learnt a lot from the way he goes about his business!

  3. Unconfirmed as yet but I believe that I have about 2520 and won all 3 of the grannies that I made. Not that it compares but also made around 2390 in DT and won both of those as well smashing Harford at the same time. This brings about the end to a very enjoyable year in the SC world and I would like to send appreciation to the great people of this web site especially Motts, Big Sexy DuckPA and all of the regulars. Would also like to know if I can get a guernsey for SCT league next year and give you guys a run for your money.

    Cheers.

  4. Harvey won me two finals I thought I was well and truly out of, by 22 and 17 points each, and I won another a bit more comfortably. A great season, thanks to all and hope the hard work payed off for you, too!

  6. So ended up with 3/4 GF’s. Scored 2421, with the only bleamish in an honourable loss to Cam. Am slightly annoyed that if i had played Hurn over Duffield i would have won, but oh well. Great finish to the year. Thanks to the whole SCT community all the newbies and regulars and to Motts, Duck and Big Sexy for all the quality and running of the site.

  7. Brent Harvey you superstar!!!

The Kelsos’ mainstay has won me all three grand finals and will be along for the ride again in 2012.

Finished on 2387 and won my primary league by 16 points after being down by a fair margin on Saturday night. Petrie and Boak played their part also and Jack Riewoldt’s first half was enough…. just.

Big thank you to all on SCT for your patience, understanding and kindness throughout the season. Looking forward to being a part of the SCT leagues once again!

Unless of course Mott’s gets this site shut down for ‘chilling’ Kepler Bradley all season… just sayin 😉

  8. Great end to the season – win in sole GF with 2486 GAJ
Boyd, GAJ, S.Thomp, Goodes & New Recruit Harvey have just earned new contracts for next season!!
N Reiwoldt, Hale, Fisher, Johncock stunk a bit, especially with Mzunga, Broughton & Z.Smith tonning it up on the bench.
See you all next week, i’ve pencilled in must have’s for next year & now have 6 months of recruiting 12 to 15 cash cow rookies!!!

  9. Ended up with 2425 and pipped rustee by 4 points.

My last 10 weeks I’ve averaged 2429… Lowest score in that time was 2213 and highest 2547.

Where do I begin. I won 4 real grand finals and the minor in sct2. In my main league I was down by 147 going into the final game with boomer as my only pod.
A whole summer of gloating is now a reality and SCT should be gloating with me you all were apart of it as much as me thanks heaps

Finished the year off well to set me up for next year.
Now its time for me to focus on supporting my Pies as we try to repeat.

  13. Won two leagues and didn’t get into the final of the main one – maybe next year (as us Richmond supporters always say……)

Thanks guys for running a great site and also everyone who contributes to it and makes me laugh, especially after beer o’clock on Fridays…

Won 4/5 grand finals (lost one by 30 points thanks to them having Boomer). Very happy after just scraping into the top 8 in 3 of the leagues. averaged 2486 over the last 6 weeks with a high of 2733 (PB). Can’t wait for next year, thanks for all the news and advice on the site good work!

  15. Came 35th overall in Dreamteam (well, my “Mum” did), but didn’t make the final of my league. Had a crappy year in Supercoach by comparison, just scraping into Top 1000 – won my league, but I don’t really care about league victories against anonymous people, so pretty disappointed all round.

  16. 2491 …. Went back-to-back in my mates league which is what i’m most happy about.

Bringing in Boomer this week for Leon Davis was a masterstroke!!

Could’ve been 2654 if i got my bench selections spot on.

    R24, Trade # 24 – Boomer Harvey on debut!!!

Struggled through the weekend, looking more and more likely to lose, preparing the Runners Up speech. Cloke (38) and Hale (36) had me curling up in the corner. Broughton (103), Mzungu (113) and I Smith (99) all sat rotting my pine whilst scoring for the opposition. The captains choice, Ablett (170) gave a narrow advantage against the opposing captain Boyd (160). When Higgins (21) was subbed off and then ROK (112) outscored Mumford (69), the door opened and a beaming ray of hope shone through.

Coming into the last day, needed Harvey to score 85. He comes out and smashes 165 to win me the flag in my only league – “Armchairmpions” – with an 81pt shattering of the Brother-In-Law.

In other exciting news, my uncle was sitting 1pt from the lead in “The AFL Tipping Competition”. Don’t know the outcome yet but he scored a perfect round 8/8 and (I kid you not) a zero (0) margin!!!!!!!!

It has truly been one of the happiest Fathers Days ever!!!!

A special vote of thanks to all of you for a memory I’ll never forget.

    Omen, over and out.

  20. A solid score of 2414 got me over the line in 3 grannies. And didn’t the rest of the family give me funny looks as I did a lap of honour around the house holding aloft the Premiership . . . Certificate.

  21. Won both Granies with a score of 2565 and finished the round in the top 560, great site boys, because of this site is why I had so much depth on my bench to cover Hodge, Franklin and Fyfe running out my last trade in round 22 Pav to Harvey. Great move and a great season. Se yah next year.

  22. In my first ever year of Supercoach, won the Grand Final in my only league with a score of 2,358 to my opponent’s 2,349. Crediting the win to big games from Chapman, Duigan, and… Karmichael Hunt with whopping 65 (avg of 37), selected by necessity in my starting 22 for the first time ever. GAJ and S Thompson also with big games, though my opponent had them too.

Thanks for the help throughout this year, couldn’t have done it without this site.

SC Years Played: 3 but didn’t really follow it very well until this year. Other years I have followed a different strategy, had more mid pricers, less guns and crap rookies. The mid pricers used to cost me dearly as I’d pick ’em a year or two before they were ready and not have enough big guns. I was going to go Leuenberger for example at the start of the year, now I know I should have waited until he’s a gun. Even the last few rounds he started to bloom. He looks good for next year. Little things like that I have learnt this year. I select now also based on consistancy and also discipline as well. Before I’d be more tempted if they were an exciting player, never mind they would give away stupid frees and nullify any good ground they had made (Barry Hall anyone?) I was quite shocked with myself I picked Gilbert for that reason but it paid off in the end.
    SCT Years Played: 1

That’s a lot of numbers- ouch!- however I finally reached my goal, it took me all year but I am in the top 10%. That was what I set myself at the start of the year and I’m thrilled. Have learnt heaps this year, thankyou SCT. Thanks guys for all your help this year, it’s been an absolute blast! what on earth am I going to do for 6 months??

Harder, faster, stronger, better year next year for the SAINTSATIONS.

  27. Bombed out in the LOEC in the Semis but went on to win my 2 main cash leagues and bragging rights all cricket season. Was a bit worried when my new player for round 24 Carrazzo was a late withdrawal and with no covers I had my first 0 for the season.

Not to worry as Petrie and Cotch finished it off for me last night after Goodes gave me the chance to still be in it Saturday.

Thanks to everyone here for your help and see you next season.

  28. Long-time reader first time commenter.. Won both my grand finals with 2530, Ablett, Goodes, Boyd, Pendelbury, Cox, Selwood, Ottens.. legends. Good work to the writers of this stite for helping me out with invaluable advice as well.

But Pavlich, Sylvia, Franklin, Cyril, Shaw, Hurley, Heppell on the bench were no good to me.. Next year i’m definitely saving trades toward the end of the year!

  29. Definitely a break out year for me after being a solid ~20,000th finisher the last two seasons. Ended the year placed 54th on the overall table, rising as high as 29th earlier in the season.

Won the minor premiership in 4 of my 5 leagues, snatching the Grand Final victory in 3 of them, scoring 2,505 points.

Came 4th of all Richmond supporters and 43rd of all Victorians.

An incredible year, supported by an incredible website. Cheers all.

  30. I owe a big thank you to Motts. At the start of the year, when I was selecting my initial side, he gave me the tip that Andrew Swallow would be a great pick up for this year. In my grand final against Ice Men, I needed Swallow to outscore Cotchin by 5 points. Up until third quarter, this was not looking likely. And when Swallow gave away two free kicks in the last, I was all but gone! Thank fully, Supercoach scores are incredibly generous for those who kick a goal in the dying minutes of a game – and with that, Swallow gained 69 supercoach points in the last quarter to give me the win!!

    Thanks Andrew . . . Thanks Motts!!!!

  31. 2267 – Why such a low score you ask…I’m a Hawks supporter – nuff said.

At least I have a major GF cup to show for a bitterly disappointing year. Ave 2190.08. Top 5%. At least I did beat Motts-whaa in SCT2!
This ave might get me into a charity SCT league for next year

  32. Won 2 of 4 GFs, including my mates league I won last year and a new cash league I joined this year, $1000 richer! Lost SCT2 by 14 to Hawks4Premiers, but it was an great competitive league all year and I was lucky to make the final.

Looking forward to next year guys, I’ll be overseas for the majority but I’ll do my best to stay on top of it!

  33. 3998 won me 3 of 4 grand finals. The one GF I lost was by just 68pts.
Not a bad score considering I had one forwad donut (first donut for the year).

Also won the office footy tipping by one tip.

  35. Finished with a 2395, and snuck back into the top 1000 (994). Didn’t score below 2300 points in the last 6 rounds. A terrible year for injuries though, right from round 1.

Crashed out of 3/3 prelims on ‘Black Sunday’ including the LoEC. Did hold on to 2nd for points overall in my cash league to snag a total of $130!

Average of 2269. My best ever. Well done to everyone!

Motts, not sure how the leagues are going to work for next season, but I’ll put my hand up to help manage them if you need assistance.

my last trade which i held onto for 6 rounds saved me swapped hodge to swallow which gave me a POD to win by 40 odd pts in both leagues

sat in the top 4 all yr and knocked off the 2 blokes who beat me in the minor rounds to take it out. even more sweeter is the fact that they talked the talk all yr but couldnt back it up when it mattered hahaha

  40. Coad would at least be good insurance for many teams without experienced tall backs if he could be picked up cheaply in this crappy draft year (yes, I am looking at you Hawthorn/Richmond). Unfortunately Richmond need an experienced #1 ruckman (like one of Freo’s) otherwise it would be “Hello Tippett”.

I won 1/2 grand finals. Looked like being 2/2 going into the final game. I had JRoo and he had Boomer. Lost by 22 points. I also lost a prelim by 3 points and would of easily won the GF. Anyway, them’s the breaks.

The league that I won was the league that I most wanted to win, against all my good mates and hugely competitive with plenty of banter in the psyche out box. It was my main cash league ($50 p/p. I won $350) and it was also the most unlikely of the 5 leagues that I was going to win half way through the year. I was sitting 9th at 4W & 4L. In my other leagues I was 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 5th.

I’m pretty disappointed not to have done better in my other leagues. My last three years have seen me reach 7 grand finals all 7 leagues for 5 premierships. This year was 2 GF’s, 2 PF’s and 1 SF for 1 league premiership. Oh well, 6 premiership trophies in the trophy cabinet now. Pretty happy with that. Might have to invest in a bigger cabinet over summer. How many trophies do you guys now have?
