Breaking Even – Rd 10, 2020

Written by Chillo on August 2 2020

For those new to the game, a player’s break-even (or BE) is the score they must achieve in order to maintain their current price tag. The following are the details for most of the popular players (>3% ownership), plus a few other notables. Bookmark and enjoy!

Due to time constraints, I’ve had to abbreviate the BE list this week. If there’s a name not listed here that you’d like to hear about, throw it in the comments and I’ll do my best to accomodate you.

First Name, LAST NAME (TEAM) (Price, Average): BE

  1. Great work Chillo
Brought in Mills after his 170 score as a POD
Since then has gone 80, 110, 80 and has a break even if 130
T/u keep he will come good
T/d trade better options at that price

  3. Great effort Chillo and guys. Hurn is bleeding me cash, need to side trade out for value and points . I have decided he is not a Def premo must have anymore. 2 tons after 9 rounds is not good enough. Happy to be wrong.
    TU : Stewart
    TD: Witherden

Note: Last year I started Witherden because he was going to really kill it and take the kick ins. This year he is not even in best 22. Any Lions please explain?

    1. Gday Jeannot,

Re: Witho, Fages loves a settled line up and will only make changes if injury forces his hand. Lester and Rich have been complementing each other really well and last year Witherden had a propensity to fade quickly in games. Only trouble now is, Witherden came in and played the perfect hybrid of Lester and Rich’s role against the bombers.

Tomorrow night against the Tiges will be telling but I still wouldn’t be surprised if one or both of Witherden / Answerth are still dropped once Lester and Rich come right.

For this same reason I’m very hesitant to go with Skinner as a downgrade this week. Price and BE are super attractive and will obviously make quick cash, but McStay will come straight back in so Skinner’s JS is thin as / the bloke has had 3 knee reco’s.

      Good luck
