Breaking Even – Rd11

Written by Schwarzwalder on May 27 2019

A popular feature at SCT, we’ve shortlisted the most SC-relevant players for you as a handy guide (mainly those owned by 3% of teams or more, with a few exceptions).

For the Supercoach newbies out there, the Breakeven is the score needed by each player to hold his price.  If they score above that Breakeven value, their $$ value will rise.  If they score below that Breakeven point, they will lose value.  Sorry if I’ve overlooked something.  Be sure to let me know in the Comments below and I’ll update it as soon as I can.  If you have any questions about Breakevens, don’t hesitate to ask in the Forum and I’m sure our friendly SCT Community will help out.

    1. Seems the most logical trade, but Scott does have a hard-on for Ratagolea who will find his way in sooner than later.

On form, Fort is a 50/50 to get another week imo.

      1. Agree re Ratagolea, otherwise…the rob trade looks delicious, but it would also mean losing having two rucks onfield each bye…also got Gawn and Goldy. Js worries me too. If fort traded in, he’s gotta be traded out at some time one would think..thats two trades blown.

        1. The first trade backs good money, noting ROB goes out to Sauce in the next week or two, likely to no long get a game. Unlikely to be there for bye cover…

The second trade is only needed IF Fort makes cash.

  1. Should S Edwards now be considered as a midprice FWD?
$436K, Avg 85, BE 26 (3 Rd avg 109… and given that the guy is a gun!)

  2. Since there’s no premo that is a must get this week, I’ll probably do a double downgrade this week, leaving me with 600k to bring in Sicily, Boak, a premo mid etc. in the coming weeks.

    1. same same.

Though am tempted by a 1UP 1DOWN and getting Josh Kelly IN before he’s $700k+!!

  3. Wanted to bring in boak for rocky to swing with danger and t.kelly but boak is listed as fwd only ?

  4. Just a suggestion to the mods, this page should definitely be pinned to the frontpage. It’s the single most useful bit of info each week and I always end up scrambling back through 3+ pages trying to find it on a Friday!

Keep up the good work guys!

    1. I try not to pin too much to the front page which is why I urge everyone to BOOKMARK this page every other week. It’s the page I use most as well 😉

      1. You did it! The madlad actually did it!

Great quality of life improvement to the site. Good work, Schwarz!

    1. I’ve had him several times as F7, just a bit inconsistent with his scoring is all. Can be handy POD on his day though

  6. Whitfield and Lloyd looks great at those prices. But the only way I’ll be able to grab one is to trade Clark out for Hinge. Tempted, but I’d like to keep Clark until his bye

  7. One up one down for me. Rockliff to Kelly J, Lockhart to Hinge.
I may be paying too much for Kelly but the team looks so much better with him in it.

    1. Decent POD. IFF he can avoid any more soft tissue injuries. That’s the only reason I’m leaving him.

      1. I got Houli as one of my free PODs after his 3rd game. Pretty happy with my 441k investment. Also happy that i started with Lobb. I would think people would be jumping on him. 90+ avg at a reasonable price. Seems to be number one ruck and he’s great coverage for ruck via dpp with Bines at end of year. Also great for bye rounds. Surely good enough for F6/7. Atm he’s my F6 and he will eventually be my F7. Just a thought. POD with great flexibility.

    2. Was looking at this myself. As I’ve traded him in this week at D5. With the kick out rule I’ve seen two players in particular take massive advantage. One is Hurn and the other is Houli who always kick the ball. There kicks per game have sky rocketed on the back of it. Little thing but with so many sides kicking so inaccurately. They seem to get 8-10 automatic free possessions a game on top of the fact they find the footy anyway.

  8. Bolton set to miss his BE of 89 and lose come coin. Is it okay to hold him if you’ve got other things in the works?

T.U: Yep, bigger fish to fry

T.D: No, trade him out now to get maximum value

    13

    2
  9. Thoughts on bringing in Sidebottom as a potential pod?

Currently priced at $491K with a BE of 118, so might bring him in next week – struggles from the tag, but if he averts it, can score 100+ as my M6/7.

  10. I have crouch and rocky and there both lovely bench warmers at the moment. I have the option of upgrading one to J.Kelly. Do I pull the trigger?

    TU- Yes Trade one
TD- Nah be patient you silly bastard
