Breaking Even – Rd3

Written by Schwarzwalder on April 3 2018

A popular feature at SCT, we’ve shortlisted the most SC-relevant players for you as a handy guide (mainly those owned by 5% of teams or more, with a few exceptions).

Normally we’d have all the BreakEvens under Nath’s Stats.  Nath is moving up in the real world however, and is looking to pass on the baton to the next ‘Stats Man’.  We’ll be advertising soon enough for ‘The Next Nath’, so keep an eye out for that if you’re a little computer-savvy.

For the Supercoach newbies out there, the Breakeven is the score needed by each player to hold his price.  If they score above that Breakeven value, their $$ value will rise.  If they score below that Breakeven point, they will lose value.  Sorry if I’ve overlooked something.  Be sure to let me know in the Comments below and I’ll update it as soon as I can.  If you have any questions about Breakevens, don’t hesitate to ask in the Forum and I’m sure our friendly SCT Community will help out.

    1. Under 5% ownership……..I think he’s around the 3% mark. If I have time, I’ll lower the mark to 3% next week. The first BE post of the year is always the most time-consuming 😉

  1. Is Jack Macrae on anyone’s radar? He’s killed it the first two weeks even with the Doggies lacklustre performances, which makes me think he’s a serious POD top-8 Premo Mid.

    Thoughts?

    1. Can’t argue with the start he’s had. I think many Coaches still believe that The Bont, The Dahl and others may take his pts as the season progresses. Hopeflly the Doggies improve a little till then as well………

      1. Jack Macrae has been on a steady improve for 3 seasons now.

He has a great Bye R12. No libba means he will go to most centre bounces. He can run all day and could easily make top 10/12 mids this year.( 115+ ave.)

I’m keen but I prefer Mclean. DPP same bye. 108ave BE61.

Once again libba going down should see him spend even more time in the midfield. I think he is a top 3or 4 Forward this year. At $470k and with only 5.6% ownership.

        Get him in!

        1. any ideas what impact the imminent return of Mitch Wallis might have, if any, on the roles of Macrae and McLean and their subsequent SC scoring?!

          1. If Wallis can help the doggies win a few games it may actually help The Bont Mclean and Macrea.

I’m more worried about the big men stocks. looking very thin at the moment with Trengrove going down.
