Breaking Even – Rd3

Written by Schwarzwalder on April 11 2016

A new feature of SuperCoachTalk this year……..the Breakevens.  We’ve shortlisted the most SC-relevant players for you as a handy guide.  These players are owned by more than 3% of Coaches (had to draw the line somewhere).  Due to the recent technical issues on the site, we haven’t got Nath’s stats available (yet).  The following were taken from SC Gold.

For the Supercoach newbies out there, the Breakeven is the score needed by each player to hold his price.  If they score above that Breakeven value, their $$ value will rise.  If they score below that Breakeven point, they will lose value.  There’s a lot of numbers here, please excuse me if I’ve missed something.  Let me know and I’ll update it.  If you have any questions about Breakevens, please use the Forum below and I’m sure our friendly SCT Community will help out.  If you need to know a particular player’s Break Even, ask in comments.  Either I’ll answer it later (when my night shift starts) or a member of the SCT Community will beat me to it.

  1. We’re working on getting Nath’s magnificent Stats page back up. With any luck it’ll be back on the site today.

    1. Any players in particular Twitch? The projections for rookies are usually not very useful (not enough data), but can be handy if you’re looking at fallen premiums.

        1. I’d really like to help out on that one. It’s just the time factor that’s stopping me, Twitch. That’d be a lot of data entry 😉

  2. This is another very helpful addition this year. Pretty wide array of players who you can follow with your own thoughts on whether to cull them or look to trade in over the next few weeks. Looking forward to Father Dougal’s cash cow articles as data builds up.

  3. These are really handy Schwarzwalder. Really annoyed with myself for trading in Martin ahead of Parker. A POD for the sake of it and now he’s dropping in price!

  1. Well done SCT, fantastic new feature. Just like a successful football team you guys continue to strive for greatness, even though you’re already the best. Keep it up!

  2. Barlow is going to kill a lot of coaches early if they keep him playing as just a fwd. Thought (like many) that him being able to be selected as a fwd was golden but now his role has me wondering. Cut him loose T/U
    Hold T/D

  3. Just something to remember for those trading out Rockcliff. If he drops to say $420 to $450k a hell of a lot of people will be trading him into there team, will you trade him back in? It may be better to hold him and save the trade, assuming he plays.

  4. Shaw-yeo-jj-lonegran-weitering-Adams- amt-dea.Fyfe-danger-priddis-Rocky-mcrouch-Oliver-Kennedy-mills-Davis-hewett-Gresham. Martin-sgray-hall-degoey-kerridge-milera-McCarthy–mbrown. Was thinking wells In 4 degoey and switching brown to defence to get yeo out 4 pallet. Those breakevens r great but also saves heaps of cash.

  5. Am I right in seeing that Zorko’s breakeven this week is 327? So if I don’t bring him in this week to replace Rockliff, which is what I was thinking of doing, he will be dropping a lot more in price, assuming that he doesn’t get 327 points? But if Rockliff plays, and is shite again, he’s going to drop a lot in price also? So best case scenario is that Rockliff doesn’t play, and therefore doesn’t drop in price, and I can save the trade for the next week, when Zorko will be cheaper?

  6. Schwarz, SCT stats says Rich’s BE is 58. Is that because SCT stats haven’t been updated or did I miss something?
