The Prospectus has listed the following blokes as potential breakout players in 2012. How many do you agree with?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

  1. Wow!! You have to get a game before you actually breakout. On this list maybe Trent west. Patrick dangerfield will have a breakout year. Easier draw and with averages of 70 and 80 in last couple of years. The only way is up. Get on!

  2. Trent West should be the one out of that bunch. Should be number one ruck, although I’m hoping the Big O can leapfrog him. Either way he’ll get plenty of game time and showed enough last year to score reasonably well.

Rohan has massive upside as well but I just wonder if he might get hidden in the forward line too often.

Allen Christensen is definitely the one for me. Glad the Prospectus left him. Hopefully he will fly under a few radars this way. Smashed it in the second half of last year and now with another preseason he should have shrugged off the token vest. Can see him slotting in very nicely for time in the middle with The Pink Pig and Co gone and no Varcoe to contend with early on.

I’m making the call now – THE FYFE OF 2012

  3. Wow – it’s not a very astute list is it ? Was it written by “Dr Dreamteam” ? Some of these people will struggle to get a game and poor Vardy won’t have had much of a preseason and will be starting this season late.

  4. Have the even played 100 games btw them? I think rohan and christensen are the obvious ones, keep an eye on koby Stevens and Chris masten I think its time for the eagles to become a powerhouse again, and we need one of them to step up.

  5. Fish I’m the opposite, he’s gonna get a gig rd1 if all reports are true. Waters is the other one who is way underpriced for his scoring potential. Can’t wait for Nab cup, if he comes out unscathed he’s a lock for d4

  6. The only thing Walters has breakout from this year has been his clothes , he is now training with WAFL club Swan Districts because he’d returned to pre-season training in poor condition and was told by the club last week that he was not meeting the physical requirements for AFL football.

  7. Fish “in the east” lol I’m in Victoria 🙂 I think he’s our Def-mid link when firing so he could see a lot of the ball, he’s fairly accurate and loves the contested ball, doesn’t back down from a pack mark, so here’s hoping to 90+ avg 🙂 hrs great captain material if he can stay on the park all year!

  8. All this talk of Rohan and Waters has got me tinkering again…

Can i get your opinion off these two options:

    1) Adcock, Docherty, Tyson, Kerridge; or,

    2) Waters, Spurrs, Miles, Rohan.

    Any ideas?

And just flat out – Adcock V Heppell
