At this stage of the season, I don’t think rookies are front of mind any longer…. That combined with the fact there is bugger-all on offer, so I’m keeping it simple.
Rookies on the radar (<$200k) this week:
1) B Grundy (Ruck $114k) Reg is already pegged to be a cult hero down at Pie land. He was taken pick 18 in 2012 and stood tall in his first run with 14 disposals, 7 tackles and 12 hitouts, and the fact he 202cm means he definitely stood tall. He scored 75 in his first hit-out.
2) K Hartigan (Def $108k) Hartigan got a full game and avoided the vest in his first run. He also wasn’t the worst player on the ground with 19 disposals and 7 marks scoring him 56 points.
3) T Curren (Mid 115k) Curren has had the vest in both his hit-outs. He didn’t do much this week (but neither did any of his team mates), but he looked pretty good in his first run and has scored 67 followed by 5 this week. If he can avoid the vest, he may score ok….. and given about 10 Saints players got injured last week, I hear opportunity knocking.

How about Blayne? 75 average and should get a run for the rest of the year now the Eagles have put the blue and yellow (sorry, gold) cue back in the rack.
I’m more interested in cheap DPPs who won’t play, so I can use the emergency loophole
Not that I’d pick him, but Scott Lycett $206,000 FWD made 86 on the weekend, should get a game every week now with no nic nat or Sinclar.
