My Top Five Rookie’s (<$200k) of the week:
1) K Horsely (Mid 128k) Giddy up Horsely. He now has two games under his belt so now is the time to cash in on this 24yo rookie who finished runner up in the Sandover Medal. In his first game he got 19 possessions and layed 8 tackles resulting in 87 SC points, and then took that to another level getting 25 disposals with 10 tackles bringing home 98 points.
2) T Adams (Mid/Fwd 136k) Was picked up by GWS at Pick 13 in the 2011 national draft and averaged almost 30 touches with the Geelong Falcons last season. Adams had a great start with 17 possessions, 3 tackles earning him 80 points last week and also stepped it up a notch this week with 23 disposals, 2 tackles and a goal earning him 90 SC points.
3) L Spurr (Def 116k) Is another mature age rookie at 24, and was taken pick 8 by Freo in 2012 rookie draft. He’s only played the one and picked up 6 disposals and layed 3 tackles for 50 points…… he’s a defensive option, but wait another week if you can.
4) J Brennan (Def 113k) Another defensive option. Jocob Brennan is the son of former captain Michael Brennan and is also mature age at 22. Brennan picked up 11 disposals and 47 points…. Wait another week.
5) A Saad (Fwd 124k) Only played the one, spent most of the game in a green vest so didn’t really get to see his potential…. He’s just making up the numbers this week, but lets see how he rolls next week…. Has a lot of potential.

im touch and go on trading him out…i understand he has a good BE but by getting in adams or horsley i get a quicker cash increase and can get more premiums in2 my side quicker especially in the midfeild which is where all the points are coming from this year. Up forward and down back is a tough gig to get consistant scores from anyone. Obviously there is acceptions but you get my drift?!

The original charge resulted in enough points for a 1 match suspension. With the discount for early plea, he would miss no games and carry 93-odd points forward. He is forgoing the discount to challenge, so is risking the 1 match if unsuccessful, to clear his slate. IMHO, there was nothing in it and he should get off – I wouldn’t bet one brass razoo on it, though!

Spurr got that 50 from being sub coming on at half time. Without many defender rookies coming that I can see (besides maybe Dochetry) he will need to be traded in next week if he can cement his spot in the freo side.

I didn’t see the game but I think that 50 is pretty inflated seeing as he only got 6 touches. Not saying I won’t jump on him next week if he backs it up but something to be wary of IMO.

This post will be a resounding thumbs down. Neale’s only had one price rise and will only get better from here on in as I think he’s been sub affected in his first two games. Bank the cash from Magner and use it for an upgrade next week. As for the option of Milera or Kennedy to Adams, it’s basically a flip of the coin. I’d say Kennedy just because he has a higher breakeven, but both should probably go in the next two weeks.

Horsley seems to be of HUGE value but my three midfield rookies are Shiel, Conigilio and Magner and they’ve all got low BE’s. Really undecided as to what i should do on this one and if i do the trade who i shoud then trade out of the three.

It’s good to hear the case for holding off trading for s bit. There is fast money to be made. However this season more than ever with all the injuries to popular supercoach players I think trades will be more valuable. You just hope that there will be more good rookie options down the track so you don’t regret letting these ones go

I love my DPP’s – very rarely end off with a doughnut as you can always shift a few around That’s what makes it a difficult decision getting rid of the link even though i could get it back by getting Danger, Sidebum or Chappy in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to a good rookie Def / Mid DPP starting to play so i can get Lids into the defence & keep the rookie as mid bench cover.

I would have thought that your solution to retain the DPP status using the two trades mentioned in your first option, would be to trade Goodes for Adams then swap Adams with Hampton in the forwards and then trade Hampton for Horse in the mids.

Leaving 700,000k in the kitting for 2 upgrades next week,
either Shiel, Hampton or Coniglio to PENDLES,
and either Porps, Kennedy, Milera or D.Smith to PREMIUM.
Also 16 trades remaining after the trades.
