Another middle of the road performance from GAJ last week (by his standards) has me wondering who to put the C on this week.
I’ve included a few newbies by captain standards, but seeing as they’re in the top 10 for points scorers they could be worth a look.
Who’s getting the top job this week?

Cox will be my vice captain, should he fail, dangerfield or swallow will step up for the big c.
I’ve ticked Cox, but going with JPK on the vice first.
Don’t want to chance Pendles, just incase the hip gives way.
Cox as C, JPK as VC
Tricky this week. Will Pendles play,be subbed or get the jackson tag. Will ablett be tagged by cornes. Danger will score low with lower all over him and Watson is too risky although has gone massive against saints before. I am leaning towards either lids, swan or the hoff. The hoff u ask? I think against the young Gold Coast defenders he will have a field day. Swan has had a relatively average start but if no Pendles and beams out then on his 200th game he might go big. Lids is safe. So my order would be swan. Hoff. Lids.
Ive got both Ablett and Pendles, but if i had to choose the C for anyone this week i would consider Swan because:
a/ He has smashed it against the Tiges last few years.
b/ Pendles may not play or may not be 100%
c/ playing milestone game.
You left out Buddy in Tassie. Perhaps another 13 goal haul? 256 sc pts last year v Kangas but only 99 v Freo in the same stadium.
Personally I’m going with JPK for VC loophole and will think about it some more. If he scores 140+ I’ll just leave it and be content.
Cox may be rested in the forward line.
Pies will probably get beaten by Tiges but to hard to pick one there.
GAJ will be tagged out of the game or have his hand given some extra attention.

JPK for me as VC with Macaffer as C. If JPK scores under 130 I’ll move the C over to Big Cox or GAJ.

i have to pick one as i can’t use loophole this round (im sure im not alone in that)

feel like the SC gods are preparing to teach many of us a lesson. In GAJ we trust.
GAJ is playing PORT ADELAIDE at home and we are considering not giving him the captain’s arm band??
I get why this is being considered. I do see alot of logic in not selecting him as captain as his last two scores have not been worthy of his lofty permacaptain standards. But he is GAJ remember!!
Maybe it’s a chance to give the VC to GAJ knowing you’ve got a solid Sunday player as back up?! Thompson, Dangerfield, Swallow, Rockliff, Hanley come to mind. Unfortunately i have none of these.

Thinking of either JPK or Jelwood for VC. It could become a contested night so JPK and Jelwood would ralish on that and both teams don’t really have a shut down tagger. (Also have Pendels, Swan, Cotchin).

Bellchambers (141) and Dean Cox (171) have monstered the Dee’s ruck in the past 2 rounds. Giles scored 142 against the Dee’s last year. Brogan is out, so he’s the lone ranger.
Also, with Patton gone, he’ll be asked to go forward too.
I think he’s a POD choice as Captain this weekend if you have him.

So, the VC goes on Pendles, and if he bums out, I’ll slap the big ‘C’ with Cox :O

can’t see ablett getting a massive score with the hand injury. he couldn’t clench his fist a couple of days ago and if he’s still sore he won’t handball and get his 1-2s as much, as well as tackling less
