Cooney v Gibbs

Written by Motts on June 8 2010

Was having a look over my midfield this morning and noticed that Cooney and Gibbs both have exactly the same average at the moment – 107.82. They’re both capable of massive scores (Cooney 171, 164 – Gibbs 192) but their worstย  is pretty ordinary (Cooney 64 – Gibbs 62). Right now, which one would you take?

Are you looking to bring in any of these Rare Gems? (max. two)

    1. How’s that bomber calling you ugly in that other post, Duck?

Wouldn’t mind putting your tally for the year up against his. Have no doubt you’d come out in front mate.

    2. With you Duck, Gibbs has only had that one low score, and it was in the wet against melbs. other than that all fantastic!

  1. Yeah I’d say Gibbs too, but I don’t have either in my team.
I agree with kb, your Polls are usually pretty close comparisons Motts.

  2. Personally, i’d steer clear of both. Who wants a premium mid scoring a 60. NOONE!! 110+ players week in, week out for me.

  3. Gibbs has a new defensive role this year and doesn’t play as much in the middle because of this. Coons has increased his avg from 91.1ppg in 2009 to 107.8ppg in 2010 and is in Brownlow winning form of 2008 imo.
