Do you have any SC questions? I do

by Big Sexy on June 25, 2010

If  you have any general SC questions, post the them up in the comments section, and the SCTalk team and thousands of regular readers will see if we can help you out.

My open question is:   If you have two emergencies named on the same line (i.e.  Two defenders named as emergencies because your other energencies aren’t playing), and one of you main players pulls out…. Which emergency score does SC take?

I’m playing a bloke this week who has Bock on the field who’s pulled out with a Hammy, but he has both defenders named as emergencies and both have played…. which score does he get?

If 1 of the emergencies score is 0, then the higher score is used.

Given the wet weather predicted, who should i make Captain this weekend from the following?
Ablett, Goddard, Swan, J Selwood, Enright or Goodes

I wish I knew the answer to that question. I’m tossing up right now between BJ, GAJ, Goodes, ROK, and Dids.

BJ = Goddard? Will not be given the space that he normally has. Geelong will have to run a hard tag on him -Enright?-, so maybe will not be quite as effective as normal, but is a gun player who will be up for this contest. I expect 80-140.
Jesus will cop Jones, but still scores around 100 against St.Kilda. Has extra motivation with Chappy gone and recent -by his standards- poor form. If Bartel runs with Hayes, he becomes the man and tonight might just be his night. I expect 90-150.
I expect Dids & ROK to yield 80-110 and Goodes is in good form @ the minute but has had enough shockers to make me dubious about making him captain.
So for me it is a choice between Goddard or Jesus with me leaning toward JC right now.
Although, I have Swan & Penders as options to cloud my decision making process, both are in good touch and playing so-called weaker opposition.
I’m thinking Montagna might be a good choice if you have him, given that Ling will probably take NDS, Bartel on Hayes and a third tag will be employed for Goddard.

No Idea, I think any of the first 4 will serve you well, whilst Enright/Goodes are capable, but riskier options.

J Bartel, the best wet weather player in the competition (apologies to Jude Bolton). Let it rain!

Yeah .. i’ve got a choice of GAJ, BJ, Bartel, Swanny for the captaincy.

Recent scores say BJ but Robbo in the HS was adamant he’d get Lingy this week. GAJ will cop Clint Jones too. Swanny’s a likely high scorer at ANZ where Collingwood usually goes well and there’s Bartel who tends to do well in the wet and in the big occassions.

Hmmmm……

my question is. if you have two players that say pull out after lockout in the same position e.g. forward. and you have two emergencies in the forward position. will those emergencies cover both players that were on the field?

If you have (FWD/DEF) MPP on the bench in your Backline can he cover a main player in your forward line? eg P. Davis or do you have to move him to your forward line bench for it to count?

I’m thinking that u need to move your MPP onto the line that you wish to employ his score on.

hey guys, i’m having some injury troubles in my forward line, with chappy, brown and higgins scoring 0′s. I need some help on who to trade in and out.
I’m thinking about trading out JB. This week i had to cop a zero from him, with daniel stewart covering for higgins. If higgins comes back next week stewart can cover for brown, but stewart isn’t doing much and may be dropped. Should i trade out JB, and if yes, for who?

My current team looks like this:
Backs: Goddard(VC), Hodge, Malceski, Enright, Gilbee, Gilbert, Waters
(Roberton, Davis)
Mids: Ablett(C), Swan, Dal Santo, Barlow, Judd, Montagna
(JKT, McNeil)
Rucks: Sandilands, Naitanui (Warnock,Lobbe)
Forwards: Chapman, Pavlich, ROK, Pods, Higgins, Ziebell, Stewart
(JB, Webb)

I have 6 trades left and 159,800 any help or feedback would be appreciated.

JB has to go.

Riewoldt may be back this week, or in the next 3 so maybe you might like to wait for that, esp as his price will drop after he returns. Higgins should return this week and if Stewart can cover JB, you might be able to snare yourself a gun.
Other options are Daisy, Didak, Gia, J.Riewoldt, or a cheap Fwd/back DPP that will allow you to swing P.Davis forward to plug a gap.
