Crisp achieved his 1st premium season in 2018 with a 95.8 average from 22 games after averaging between 82 and 89 for the previous 4 seasons. Has played 88 consecutive games which highlights his durability thus providing assurance that you can just about bank on Crisp to play his full allotment of games. Averaged 23.23 disposals in 2018 as Collingwood’s main attacking/rebounding defender as well as receiving several midfield rotations which reduces his possibility of a poor score as the tackles and contested possessions amassed can potentially compensate for a low disposal game.

Crisp only recorded 4 games below 80 as well as 4 games below 20 disposals thus displaying his consistency. Slight room for improvement mainly regarding a small increment for marks, disposals and kick to handball ratio and should be able to maintain his 95 average in 2019 but could be suited as an upgrade option due to the large array of enticing options in the backline.

Verdict: Upgrade target

  1. Upgrade target does seem like the best option due to such a stacked midfield. I don’t have confidence that he will get many midfield rotations, which may lower his output. After seeing how he goes in the first half of the season, will determine if he ends up in my team.

    1. Ditto. Brought him in for the back half of last year and wasn’t disappointed. Wasn’t overwhelmed either tho!

  2. One more stat for you Adam:

With Sam Murray in the team: 91.4 Avg (13 games)

Without Sam Murray in the team: 101.7 Avg (13 games – inc finals)

        1. Did he not have a monster 150+ in finals? If you take his highest and lowest scores out and re-run it, what’s the differential then?
Is Quaynor not a very similar type player to Murray?
While I’ve no doubt he’s a gun, he has been managed due to minor off-season surgery and am hoping he doesn’t hit his straps until post-Rd13.
Still too many q’s for me to start him, especially with that damn bye 🙁

          1. Spot on – he scored 153 in the prelim final. That was following a 63 the week before though in the semi so it balanced out relatively well.

If you remove those he averaged 100.5 without murray.
