Due to his tendency to miss games due to suspension or injury as well as the value in the backline he should be viewed as an upgrade target, but he should still be a solid selection and push for another finish among the top 6 SC defenders by averages.

Verdict: Upgrade target

  1. All that along with the articles floating around of swinging forward and his JLT1 playing deep in the forward line has me putting a line through him in greylead.
If he plays JLT2 down back though and named there Rd1 i’ll get the rubber out and rub the line out and slot him at D1.
If he shows any sign of playing fwd in JLT2 i’ll get the permanent marker out!

    Clarkson on Sicily forward:

“For the best part of the last 12 months we played him in the back end out of necessity more than anything,” the four-time premiership coach said.

“He is a very, very capable forward. Our goal ultimately is to use he and Gunston as swingmen who can swap from one end to the other depending on what the fortunes of the side are on any given day.

“Last year we tried him forward for one game late against GWS and he had three shots at goal but we haven’t used it on a regular basis.

“(Against Brisbane it) was as chance to use him a bit more up forward and he didn’t bring his kicking boots and had some chances.”
