40+ avg differential when disposals equal/exceed 22, kicks equal/exceed 11 and contested possessions equal/exceed 9.

A breakout candidate for 2019 after averaging an astronomical 111.3 from 10 matches post bye thanks to playing predominantly in the midfield rather than being situated in the forward line. In those last 10 games Dunkley averaged 27.4 disposals, 6.6 tackles and 10.2 contested possessions which illustrates his SuperCoach friendly game style.

If he can maintain the midfield minutes he received in the latter half of 2018 then he could potentially finish with a 100+ avg and finish as a Top 6 FWD in 2019.

Verdict: Strongly consider for F2-F4/ Upgrade target

  1. Brilliant appraisal Adam, but Mr Magnets makes such an initial investment almost impossible.
He may well start midfield, but think the Dogs may struggle this year with lack of talls. Upgrade target for me, once their talls are all fit. If at all.
Shame. He’s a gun, but too big a risk for me.

      1. At Marvel shouldn’t it be Captain Magnets, or Magnet Man? Would he be an enemy of Iron Man?

        And, um, why magnets?

        1. Because Bevo is forever changing the position magnets of his players on the board…

Gee the Marvel thing is going to be used a lot this season. Smart branding by Disney – if they needed more exposure.

  2. He’s such a double edged sword for me as a doggies supporter, he was such a beast in that last month of footy when we won 3 on the bounce and lost to Richmond by 3. I think surely there’s no way he doesn’t play as a pure mid. So I kinda have to lock him in at F3. So when he plays as a fwd in round 1 and scores 60 not only will I have a dud premium but I’ll also be an incredibly frustrated supporter
