2018 was the first time since 2012 that Hurn has averaged over 90 and only the first time he has averaged over 95. Could be a beneficiary of the changes to the kick in rule as he took 124 kick ins and played on 41.13% of the time (51/124). Should be an upgrade target to see if he maintains his 2018 form or reverts back to his usual output over previous seasons.

Verdict: Upgrade Target

  1. I have hurn in at D1 I think the kick in rule can see him avg 100 gffom what we saw in JLT that’s his job and he is the general down back who kicks it. But I have flirted with crisp it’ll be a game day call on this for me. Crisps DE% worries me

  2. I’ve been thinking about the kick in impact … the problem I can’t resolve is that the total number of points in a game doesn’t change .. it’s still 3300… and West Coast tend to score better than 50% of those … so where will the extra points come from for the kick ins.. ? Who loses out … I suspect the points for kick in will be devalued somewhat…
and given Hurns age, he will need those kick ins to compensate for a drop off in general play… can’t see Hurn ever breaking the 100 average.. it’s beyond him now..
