  1. Rookie players that have been much discussed but are all missing Rnd 1:
Callinan, Polec, Hibberd, Mzungu, Smith, Puopolo, Cheney, Bailey, Schneider, Strauss, Gaff, Wallis

That’s alot and makes me think that next year i should set my team up guns pre-season then leave the rookies til the last hour before the partial lockout!!

  2. A lot of work to be done on some SC sides after that post I would imagine!

As a WCE supporter, Gaff missing out doesn’t surprise me. Has only shown very small glimpses of what he’s capable of and none of that has come through the middle, it’s all be running from a back pocket. Will be a star, but it’s really good to see we don’t have to gift spots to new recruits because they show a little bit. Means the 3rd and 4th year players are being gifted spots instead! 😉

Look forward to Jack Darling though, good signs for us!

  3. What do you think of darlings job security? Surely he will play close to every game?

  4. Form permitting, absolutely.

He’s that in between size at the moment, will grow and fill out a bit, but for now we’ve got Lynch/Kennedy as the big men with LeCras as our main (small) forward. Darling will fill McKinley’s old spot. Can’t see anyone that will put pressure on him in that position.

He’s a good player to have there though, he’s no spud and would have been top 5 in the draft if he wasn’t such a naughty boy.

  5. Gaff not playing has thrown a spanner in the works!
What do you guys think of a trading Gaff upto Liam Shiels? It’s a very unique choice…
Averaged 100 in the NAB Cup (110 and 90) and is $228,700.
Will get games and looks to make you some money.
Having a serious thinkg about this….

  6. As each minute goes on I like it more and more. Will have $50,000 still in the bank too. Or could go a bit more pricey and get Mitch Duncan, $281k and should get plenty of game time + DPP status.

    This is tense!
