  1. 251/3/N- Bit disappointed in Danger after I swapped Thompson for him very late, but in the long run it should pay off.

Not sure if this is the right spot to put it but anyways..
(Here is the team for reference, http://i.imgur.com/Qr5EpRn.png)
-Griffin is certainly not a set and forget ruckman at the moment, when Sandi gets back to full fitness even if he is in stellar form I don’t see him keeping him out of the team for long. But the upside is that he is a smokey, has blitzed it when given the chance, Sandi could be out till around round 6/7, if he goes well enough his price should pick up and I will be able to identify which of the premium ruckman are truly value for money.

Options on the card are go for a mid pricer and grab ablett or 3 rookie ruck man and grab a premium forward and Ablett

  2. 156/2/N –
Had Heppell and Goddard. When I saw that Heppell had around 33 points at 1/4 time I was thinking he would make his century but that didnt happen, I feel that his disposal efficiency is hurting him alot, If it was around 70% not 52% I think he could of scored around 90 points imo.

Goddard was making me nervous up until 3/4 time, He found his touch later and he had an average game, yet, he scored 86! I can’t wait for him to have a 3 vote best on ground game!

  3. 391/3/Y- Had Watson as captain which I was happy with even though I thought his score would have been better. Also had Goddard and Dangerfield which were disappointing but think most people would have them in their team.

  4. Quick reminder: only use one name on the site, don’t be filthy, and don’t denigrate others while you’re here. Banning will result if you break these rules. Felden, you’re on the edge right now, buddy.

Hardly out of the blocks with this effort so far in my first season on this site.
Danger and Godd are the culprits.. Hope the loop hole comes off with Coxy on for a big one. Ooops, hope I’m not on notice for that one , sorry.

    Anyone have Howlett?

  12. lucky for me I have foxtel but that is pretty poor by channel 7.

Prime time Saturday night against two possible top four teams.

Still the movie ‘hop’ starring Russell brand who injures the Easter bunny and must nurse him back to health, should be a much better watch.

    Cheers.

Very disapointing start i had Heppell,Goddard,Danger, and Jobe im pleased with my decision to bring Jobe in. Dangermouse will wanna take a good hard look at himself and lift his game i brought him in for Cotch.I have Kommer on my bench very pleased with that move at the expense of Crouch……..
I have Fyfe and Cox tonight so hopefully they can put on a decent score

Took a punt on Griffin which has worked this week

Goddard, Heppell, Griffin, Fyfe, Mundy, Cox have played so far. Not a brilliant score, but respectable. My late inclusions this morning of Mundy and
Griffin have paid off so far. Haven’t used my VC loophole yet, looking to try it on JPK against GWS.

  19. Hi I’m a newbie. Was put onto this site and have found all the info & suggestions enlightening. Been a big AFL fan for years… go the bombers!! I’m a leaguey from Brissy, but guys at work here roped me in this year … so just learning! Here goes:
    after 2 games: 946/12/Jobe C
Lots of bombers … too many?? … ryder hurley let me down, had Kommer and zaharakis being sub hurt! Cox and lycett tonight and Jacobs last night was good … hopefully I get the hang of this with rookies and trades … any help welcome!!! Cheers

  20. 301/4/N

Looks like my young gun premiums in Shuey (56) and Dangerfield (63) will be receiving a lot more attention this year from taggers. Hopefully they can learn to handle it better than they did this weekend!

  21. 501/7/VC Danger

Could have had a better start, and the first thing i have learned is that, being in the UK, i am gonna have to get my ar*e out of bed to check teamsheets. I have been done over by Embley starting as Sub!

I’m after a bit of help though guys, being a novice at this. Is it imperative i sell LeCrass or can i just bench him?

  22. 651 / 7/ N

Not bad. Annoyed i went with danger last min but he will bounce back. Duffman just okay – he gotta lift…or he might turn into Pearce…

Watson selected as VC. Which means if I want to take his score I need to pick a non playing rookie and put him on the ground with a playing rookie as emerg? (i dont know if i want to pick a non playing rd 1 rookie)

Players Im going to continue to watch closely….
Mundy! (not sure why I keep thinking he’s not a true prem – he’s a GUN)
Barlow (just racks them up so easy)
Pearce (SC def playing on the wing and through the middle)
Griffin?? (12 poss and only 20 hitouts and he scores 116?)
B Waters (looks like he is going to score a 100 again each week this year.)
C Demspsey (Another SC def playing on the wing and looks like he could score well each week)

  23. Only on 416/5/N. Not happy with Danger and Heppell. Goddard got a lower score than I expected, so did Cox. Kommer was a very handy bench option with 70. Last of all, Jacobs did d his job. Not happy with it considering they’re all prems on my field.

Like most of us I’m disappointed. No-one cracked the ton and Cox as VC stunk it up big time.

  25. At the moment I’m 382/5/Ablett.

This is my first year of Supercoach and I don’t know that much about AFL. I have a fair few decent young blokes in my side but some scoring ‘0’ in my first 22. Should I have noone in my starting side scoring 0 or will having some big names like Ablett etc in my side compensate for them? Hoping some of them will rise in value throughout the game. eg. Whitfield, Viney, Crouch, Toumpas etc.

I guess what I am trying to get at is ‘Should all my first 22 be scoring points or will my big names compensate for some of my rookies?’

Point predictor says that 5 in my starting 22 won’t score but I have 8 that are predicted > 100 and a few in the 90s

    So far this week:

    Crouch 0
    Walker 91
    Goddard 86
    Kennedy 109
    Cox 96

  26. 397/5/N

Very underwhelming start for my team – Cox didn’t do nearly as well as I’d hoped. Shuey was well held by Crowley, and Priddis, Goddard and Heppell also underwhelmed. Early signs good from Mundy, who I considered but decided against having him; one wonders if he can keep this scoring output for the season.

I’d advise those with Shuey not to jump off for Mundy or Barlow; sure, Shuey was well held by Crowley, but Crowley is one of the best taggers going around. You picked Shuey as a premium. and although 30 trades look like a lot; you’ll probably regret it at the end of the season when Mundy and Shuey both average 105-110 and you’ve basically wasted a trade (I’m speaking from experience here.) Take Shuey’s low score, and wait before you trade.

As for me, Ablett and JPK are my options for the Captaincy. The first weekend didn’t go so well for a lot of us; but the round isn’t over and it’s still early days of the season.

  27. 296 / 4 ablett

luke brown 44…. the supergods stepped on his foot ….game over
nic kommer 70 happy with the rookie score, chances are high for another gig.
goddard 86…… under par score , too early yet to stick the knife in .
coxy 96…… looked tired missing his mate .

  28. 653/8/N (Cox as VC) will plonk the big C on Pendles now

Shocking round after only 2 games.

Goddard, Heppell, Ryder, Dangerfield, Jenkins and Cox all disappointing.

Happier with Jacobs and JJ Kennedy.

Dropped Crouch and brought in K Mitchell, hopefully he gets the upgrade to the seniors list this week.

Thank god we have more trades after these 2 games not looking good may sideways heppel for suban / fyfe for mundy depending on round 2 scores, so glad i got Jpk instead of danger, really happy with jj kennedy great mid price option =]

  30. 550/6/JPK as Cox didn’t perform will enough with the VC badge

Disappointing scores by Dangermouse(roumor he was a little ill) and Ryder 4 touches and 11 hit outs, its amazing he scored 54 points.

Solid scores from Mundy/Sauce & J.Kennedy who looked super fit and more importantly was clunking some nice grabs

Par from Big Coxy, looks like not having Nic Nat may in fact lower his scoring output..early days yet!

  32. Hey guys.

Thinking about doing the ultimate hero or zero move this week.

considering locking in berger and gray before the free trade period ends.

Stick with me on this. The logic is it is unlikely I will win the $50k first price (we all can’t win!). So I am focusing on winning my 3 cash leagues.

Gray and Berger will probably not play the first two weeks which are non-league scoring weeks. I have some coverage with Blicavs and Rowe on the ruck and fwd lines.

Doing this will allow me to have berger instead of roughy and gray instead of varcoe and importanly turn monfries into Zorko.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers

  33. 354/4/ cox vc. Will be going gaj for captain unless I pull some swifties to get jpk in.

No injury dramas just alarm bells on danger. If he doesnt pull 100 next week I should be able to bring in a better performing premo mid or a cash cow.

Easier to prevent a $200k dive than make it back. Even better to trade it for a $200k rise 🙂
