Here’s my midfield: Ablett, Mitchell, Cotchin, Priddis, Dal Santo, Gibbs (McIntyre, Couch). It’s serviceable but its not gold plated. GAJ, Cotch and Gibbsy have been in there from Day 1 and I’ve picked up (what I thought were) some bargains along the way – Mitchell for $512,900, Priddis for $464,500 and Dal for $481,900. I would love for my bench to be playing and to see the names Pendlebury and Watson in there but c’est la vie.
Who’s running around your engine room and are you happy with them? If not, who are you thinking about shipping off and bringing in?

i have both selwoods! jobe, boyd, rockliff and deledio, happy with everyone exceot rockliff and scooter, hoping big games from them this weekend.

i finished 6th in my league and won the first final. i am confused a bit. Is there a swap over after these semi finals where i play the winner from 1v4 if i win and go on instead of playing the winner from 2v3?

This week thinking Adams to Couch to retain mid/fwd link and $330k for last 2 upgrades before prelims (maybe S Shaw to Birch and Giles, Cloke or Porps to Jacobs or Buddy).

Swanny needing a beer put me out of my cash league which is disappointing.
Had Gibbos 114 but went down by 26 so i think Swanny may have got me over.
Would love to have Jobe in there but Priddis was too damn cheap to pass up and has been more then servicable.

Had GAJ, Pendles, Watson and Selwood from the start… got sucked into Masten about round 3 or 4 and haven’t been able to move him on since. Got Swan about round 6 or 7 which filled my mids. Was hoping Masten would take the next step and not just beat up on the weak… lesson learnt.

Traded GAJ for Pendles then had to buy him back a couple weeks later only to see Pendles go down but have them firing into finals!

Looks good on paper but each week at least one of them lets me down. Daisy gets injured, Thommo gets tagged out, Mitchell and Boyd are up and down and haven’t scored the house down for a while now. Will give Thommo the benefit of the doubt because of his easy run home….. unless he gets rested!!! 5 trades left, 3 prelim finals and 1 semi.

Had Gablett, Jelwood, Mitchell and Thompson from beginning. Decided to beef up MIDs from the very start and work on other lines throughout season. Gibson giving very good coverage at the moment while Sexton is allowing me some DPP flexibility.
Overall, pretty happy with how my MIDs currently sit. DEFs another matter.

Both Daisy and Selwood are a bit of a worry.
If Daisy plays this week then I’d be holding onto him. Selwood could do ok against Port but against Collingwood & Hawthorn he’ll more than likely get the tagging role.

All but Priddis and the bench was there at the start, and they got there via old mac, horesley and Magner who made way.

My only issue I missed Zorko, timing was not quite right and I have ended up stuck with Sexton. Happy I got Gibson however as a back up. Would have been great to have Zorko as the Fwds have ended up hard work this year. Now I have N Roo and Rioli in trouble thank god buddy is back this week.

Still can’t figure out why I started with Ledger when he didn’t play Rd 1. Wasted trade there.
Trading GAJ to JPK only to trade GAJ back in three rounds later probably isn’t the standard way of going about things but I think it worked. Gave me cover for GAJ and those weeks gave the cash cows time to graze and get me plenty of cash to get GAJ back in.
Left Pendles alone at the start of the year planning on getting him straight after the byes. His injury pushed me to Swan. Thought it worked out perfectly until one infamous Sunday night.
