FPL GW12 Wash-Up

Written by MJ on November 28 2014

GW11 was a non-event for me Fantasy Football-wise, as it fell right in amongst my University exam period. It’s all over now and I’m back in the FPL office.

SCT Managers of the Round: Adam Kudnig, SNOIDZ XI & Michael Cusack, Dirty Sanchez 62 points
SCT League Leader: Adam Brady, Awkward Science: 462nd overall

Costel Pantillimon (£4.4m) is the cheapest of the playing keepers at the moment, and secured 9 points for his owners on the weekend. Be wary of his upcoming difficult fixtures though, with Chelsea and Man City in the next fortnight. Robert Green (£4.5m) has made the most saves of any keeper this season and has Leicester, Burnley, West Brom and Crystal Palace at home before the New Year.

Southampton’s prominence in defence will come under threat with their upcoming games, beginning with Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd in the next three. Newcastle are the in-form defensive team in the competition, with four clean sheets in their last five games. Jaanmat (£5.2m) is the main attacking threat with a goal and two assists to his name this year.

Jonathan Walters (£5.2m) is in terrific form, with three goals in five, as is fellow budget-friendly option, Victor Wanyama (£4.8m). Yaya Toure (£10.6m) is presenting himself as an alternative in the expensive ranks again, with a goal and assist over his last two matches.

Aguero (£12.7m) may have drawn a blank in his last EPL game, but he scored a match winning hat-trick in the Champions League in mid-week. Cheap option, Harry Kane (£4.9m) has started the last two for Spurs, scoring against Hull last weekend. Pre-season favourite, Bojan (£4.9m) has started hitting his straps, earning starts and fetching returns with a goal, assist and four bonus points over his last two. Wayne Rooney (£10.3m) is back on the scoresheet, with a goal and maximum bonus points against Arsenal.
