The first gameweek of the new season is still underway, with Chelsea v Aston Villa scheduled for Thursday 4.45am AEST. This doesn’t stop us from planning our first transfers though.
If this is your first season of FPL, you’ll need to acclimatise yourself with how the price change system operates. Contrary to SC, players’ values change according to how many managers are trading them in (or out). If a player receives a certain number of net trades in, their value will rise by 0.1m. This can cause a dilemma for FPL managers, because prices change throughout the week. Be mindful that you CANNOT reverse transfers, but you may have to make a trade early in the week to buy the player before his price rises.
Note: Making more than one trade will incur -4 points towards next week’s score for each additional transfer.
Use the above link to know who’s about to go up in value (or down). Once a player reaches 100% in the target column, their price should change by 0.1 at ‘sometime between 0.30 – 3.30 am every day’ (9.30am – 12.30pm AEST). Because Ross Barkley and Seamus Coleman had gone past the 100% threshold, their prices rose by 0.1m this morning.
Don’t worry if this is a little confusing, you’ll get the hang of it throughout the season.
So, who’s on your chopping block, and who impressed you on the weekend as a likely trade in target?
