Friday Night Footy – Carlton v Hawthorn (Etihad)

Written by Big Sexy on June 14 2013

Another BIG Friday night clash of the up and coming underachievers Vs the flag favorites coming off the Bye.

Who’s going to stand tall for the Bules…. Murphy? Gibbs? Juddy? Walker?  Murph finally showed some of what Id been hoping for all season from a SC perspective.  Let’s hope he can back it up (please).

Who are the big names to watch for the hawks…..  Mitchell? Bargain-basement-Birchall & Buddy? Hodgey?  C’mon Brich, you’ve been rubbish since I brought you in, until your last run…. another of those please!

  2. Crazy 5 minutes…

Hodge will be lucky to get less than 3 weeks.

Buddy runs way off the line of the mark – out of bounds… not called play on?

Carlton Sub is given a tablet before coming on…??? The trainer tried to shifty pass a tablet to him, just happened to be when the TV camera was on. Lucas walks a bit down the race and gulps tablet. WTF??

  4. Don’t have him, but fingers crossed Murphy is back after the bye. If he gets to 400K after rnd 15 he could only be a 100K upgrade from K.Martin / B.Hill.

PS – missed 1st qtr, but i thought Rowe was playing – did not hear his name in the 2nd qtr.

  5. Hodge to get 4 for both Elbows. Hawks getting dirty when it gets tough & making the most of the new era of umps putting away the whistle. Prob gunna change after this week as you still have to protect the player. All this coming from a pies man.

  6. I have Mitch Robinson.

Everything was going better than expected; then he gets injured…

  8. Projected to win by 10, and with roughy going bad I thought that would give me a good chance to win it. Roughy 25 at half time. 72 at 3QTR. FMSC

  11. How many frees in a row was it to hawthorn by the end? I had counted 11 in a row to the hawks by midway through the final quarter.

Riding the umps with a grin is right.

Was most definitely a game changer.

  12. I’m a Hawks supporter but Carlton should have received more Frees For that game. The one where Garlett tackled Smith, he should have got pinged.

I think the Umps have gone the other way and are not paying free kicks where due for tackling.
