Game Chat – Brisbane v Gold Coast

Written by Father Dougal on September 9 2020

Where and When: The Gabba, Wednesday 9 September at 7:10pm (AEST)

What does it mean for Brisbane: Lose they stay in 3rd, win and they are in second. I mean they could get into first wit a win, but a 100-0 win leaves them in second so they are probably not going to make that up in one match.
What does it mean for Gold Coast:  If they win they go up two places to 12th and they get worse draft picks. Since they are playing the Lions, not much chance of a win. Lose they stay where they are in 14th.

Supercoach Watch  Lions:  Berry, Zac Bailey, McCluggage, Zorko, Witherden, Lyons, etc.
Supercoach Watch Suns:  Miller, Greenwood, Rankine, and Lukosius

Father Dougal Watch:  Neale! A three round average of 106 and he’s my captain after Steele spudded up. Probably not alone with him having the C. Could go for 80 could go for 180.

Father Dougal’s Tip: Brisbane by 30. No matter how much the Suns have improved, they are playing a top team that needs to pad its percentage.

  1. Needed a 498k Shuey replacement this week. Passed on Shiel, Langford, JPK and Parker, who all put up ass scores this round. Went for Berry instead. Will feel vindicated if he can ton. Fingers crossed.

    1. Good luck GD. Berry is a nice pick, a good player who can go large.6 times over 120 this year.
I went for Lyons in a forced trade for Kelly. I threw the captaincy on him too in attempt to get over the line. A hail Mary in some close games.

  5. Thanks for the scores lisa.

Sorry to Gunboat on the Berry trade. 🙁
looks like the kid popped a shoulder.

Neale looks like he is locking up Charlie.

If Zorko slows down a bit, I maybe able to afford him for my last trade at M8.

  8. Well, it looks like the Big O is gunna have to go
Really looks as if Brisbane playing Archie Smith has severely impacted the Big O’s scoring
Maybe the fact that it wasnt a close game meant Archie did nearly all the ruck work in the second half… decisions decisions DECISIONS
