Game Chat – Collingwood v Port Adelaide

Written by Father Dougal on September 21 2020

Where and when: 7:15 pm at The Gabba. Today

What it means for the Pies: Win they are 6th, lose they are 8th. So, nice. Not thrilling, but nice.

What it means for the Power: Win they are 1sth, lose they are 2nd. So, nice. Not thrilling, but nice.

Supercoach Watch:

Pies: Grundy Treloar, Pendles, Adams, Maynard, and so on

Power: Boak, Wines, others

Father Dougal’s Watch: Rockliff. Not for any real reason, just because I am curious and also there have to be a few people who brought him on for why the heck not?

Father Dougal’s Tip:  I have no idea….Well, some….I feel it could go either way, but having to make a prediction, I’m going with the Power by 3

  1. The last game for Supercoach for 2020! We have made it and completed the season.
    What a ride.
Something that I hope we never have to experience again.

All the best to the community. Take care and stay safe.

Looking forward to a great game.

  2. Who we want to win tonight

    TU: Power
    TD: Pies

I personally would love to see a power win as the matches in week 1 with that result look incredible!

  3. Everyone used to bag Mark Williams from Hawthorn doing the shotgun but everyone seems to get down on their knees for duursma doing the Bow and arrow. By the way don’t see an issue with either but why the two extremes. Go Yiorgi.

  4. Nice first quarter from Duursma, sitting on 30 SC rn. Will need to find more of the ball though, probably doesn’t get a contested pack mark and a goal every quarter.

  5. What are we hoping Duursma gets?

I need 250 from Boak and Power-Pepper to win a Grand Final… not holding my breath.

    1. Think we need Duursma 120+.

Boak and Powell-Pepper look likely for 250 tbh, Grant. Thinking Boak goes large with the game on the line. Goodluck.

  6. 1/4 Time – Power by 2 points and I only need Noble to score me another 175 points to win my GF!

  8. And just like that pretty much all my grand finals are over for me barring a miracle. Grundy needs 34 points to knock me out in 2 gfs
Grundy Crisp and Dixon need only 80 combined to knock me out of another
Grundy and Houston need only 15 points to knock me out

Tough pill to swallow with some shocking scores torching me in the GF! Alls well for next year friends can’t wait to go again!

      1. I actually started with Gawn and grundy, kept them all year until Maxy went down and went Gawn to NN. Then when Gawn came back I traded in Grundy on his bye for Gawn. Cant say Ive been burnt at all this year with my ruck choices, think I made the right call couple of weeks ago going Grundy to Gawn rather than NN to Gawn as NN outscored Grundy last week by 38 and scored 122 this round.

More upset with some average premo scores costing me the win (Lyons, Haynes, Cripps, Brayshaw)

Still finished with 2400 but am gonna lose 4/5 grandfinals where a big score by any of those 4 could of been the difference between glory and heartbreak

      1. The AFL are still negotiating with St Kilda about where their game is going to be played? All times have been put on hold.
For accuracy I will remove the reference of times.
