Game Chat – Ess v Haw

Written by MJ on April 12 2015

This contest will tell us more about Essendon than Hawthorn. The Hawks were clinical in their rout of the Cats last week, and if they play at their best today a second consecutive victory is on the cards. But let’s not take anything away from the Dons, who played out of their skins for three quarters at ANZ stadium last week before succumbing to a relentless onslaught by Sydney in the last quarter. It will be a tough challenge for Essendon, who will already be tired from playing in the wet last week. Hawthorn are coming off a bruise free encounter.

Expect this game to be fairly close, but the Hawks’ class should prevail.

Justin’s Tip: Hawks by 15 points.

  3. Was very happy yesterday when I traded out Ablett for Lewis after I saw the Gold Coast vs Saints game. Maybe I celebrated to early.

  6. The guys who lifted in the final quarter sure spread the scoring around. Not many standout scores despite some very good performances. Hurley in particular deserved more.
