Game Chat – Essendon v St Kilda

Written by Thommo on July 5 2015

This is a tough game to pick. Last time the two teams met the Saints did everything they could to lose the game with two bad misses in the dying minutes. Schneider still has nightmares about that game!

Both teams are struggling on 4 wins and 8 losses, but the Bombers’ work-rate was greatly improved against the Hawks last week while the Saints were unlucky not to overhaul the Bulldogs again.

I’m predicting a close finish!

Congratulations to Jobe on 200 games. He’s a legendary bloke who’s coped amazingly well with the stress of his captaincy.

Thommo’s tip: St Kilda by 6 points.

  5. Jack Newnes is officially my worst rage trade ever. I realise he might not fit the definition exactly, but I’m going to have “don’t trade premiums” tattooed somewhere unspeakable

  7. Will this lead to a coach change? Not sure anyone would have seen this coming.

    I almost tipped Essendon!

  8. Thought the saints had a good chance to win this but that margin is unbelievable. Pressure and tackling from the saints was terrific but lot of Essendon players ( Goddard, Watson.) didn’t seem interested. What do people think will happen to Hird?

  9. Wow had both Goddard and Kavanagh on the field after loop-holing Boston. Almost grateful it’s only the top 18 that count meaning I’ll now gladly take Yeo’s and Oxley’s 62 each!!
