R11, 2014, Adelaide 16.13 (109) d Gold Coast 11.11 (77) at Adelaide Oval
R14, 2013, Adelaide 16.15 (111) d Gold Coast 11.17 (83) at Metricon Stadium

Game notes: Adelaide is the form team of the competition and comes to Metricon Stadium to play a Gold Coast outfit missing co-captain Steven May through injury. The Crows have beaten Greater Western Sydney, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide and most recently Essendon in a scintillating first month, led by red-hot small forward Eddie Betts, skipper Taylor Walker and relentless midfielder Rory Sloane. The Suns have found form in the past fortnight with strong wins over the Hawks and Carlton, although the loss of May to a hamstring problem will upset their defensive balance. Tom Lynch kicked seven goals against the Blues and looms as a pivotal figure, along with former skipper Gary Ablett, who has strung together two superb weeks after early-season criticism. The Suns should mount a spirited defence on their home turf, but it’s hard to see the Crows being upset in their current form.

Thommo’s Tip: Adelaide by 45 points.

        1. Thankfully JKH is cheap. Saved me a donut. In for Hannan.

Hmm. My hannan manoeuvres have wasted trades.

    1. But will he keep that scoring up when he eventually has to go back to the backline? Either way, it’s great while it lasts.

    1. I think their depth will be severely tested in the coming weeks with Talia also doing his hammy. He, along with Jacobs and Sloane are the players whose absence will be felt.

      1. Looked like knight also did one towards the end.
Crouch, walker, lever, talia, McGovern, knight, think I’m missing someone else.
        That’s a lot of hammy’s.
Hopefully they stop pinging soon and it’s all part of the master plan to peak in September.

    1. I’m taking Dahlhaus as I’m concerned about Dangerfield copping a cork last week.

      So he’ll pump out 150!

  3. I’m a proud Crows man and these injuries suck but our depth is very good for two reasons, firstly, means we can fill the void and continue to win and secondly, cash cows!

If Knight and or Mackay don’t get up for next week then I expect Wigg to get a call up and he showed a lot in the pre season and in the sanfl.

Watch closely, cowpocalypse could turn into Crow Cow mayhem 🙂
