Written by Father Dougal on July 29 2017

Venue: Metricon Stadium, Saturday, July 29, 7.25pm AEST

Last Time They Met: R12, 2016, Richmond 17.12 (114) d Gold Coast 15.7 (97) at the MCG
R20, 2015, Richmond 22.6 (138) d Gold Coast 8.7 (55) at the MCG
R1, 2014, Gold Coast 12.15 (87) d Richmond 10.9 (69) at Metricon Stadium
R16, 2013, Richmond 6.17 (53) d Gold Coast 6.8 (44) at Cazaly’s Stadium
R16, 2012, Gold Coast 13.12 (90) d Richmond 13.10 (88) at Cazaly’s Stadium

Game notes: One team is on the up and the other on the slide in this Saturday night match at Metricon Stadium. Richmond surged into the top four last week with a strong win over premiership fancies Greater Western Sydney, while the Suns continued to plummet, losing their third-straight match with a nine-goal defeat at the hands of the Western Bulldogs. The Tigers are loaded with midfield talent, led by Brownlow favourite Dustin Martin and red-hot skipper Trent Cotchin, while All Australian full-back Alex Rance seems a perfect match for struggling Suns skipper Tom Lynch. The Tigers have had their share of troubles with Gold Coast over the years, but if they’re serious about challenging for the top-four and ultimately the premiership, they should leave Carrara with four premiership points.ok

Father Dougal’s Tip: Tigers by 10

While we do our best to update posts with end of quarter scores, we aren’t always online so if you have access to the scores and see they haven’t gone into the Comments section of this post, the Community would love it if you could help us out.

    1. Dusty.

He is a must have in SC this year.

Should spend a bit more time forward tonight with Jack out.

I think he will kick 5 and get a lazy 35 touches.

      150+ Easy.

  1. Couldnt trade the nank out in time as the kids kept me too busy and missed the POrt Lockout *was going to switch Ryder to Ruck and bring in a forward. So can he get to 50 and minimise the damage

    1. Too late to swap Nankervis and Bolton? Looking forward to getting Greenwood forward next week instead!

        1. Up to 52 with 3 goals. I tweeted yesterday saying it was good news for Nank that Steven May had been withdrawn and he’s pulling the goods!
