Game Chat – Hawthorn vs Brisbane

Written by Schwarzwalder on July 27 2019

Where & When: University of Tasmania Stadium, Saturday July 27, 1.45pm AEST

What It Means For Hawthorn: The Hawks kept their slim finals hopes alive with an upset victory over the Cats. It keeps them within touching distance of the top eight, but they’ll need to record another surprise win on Saturday to ensure they remain a chance.

What It Means For Brisbane: The Lions are entrenched inside the top four, but will now have their eyes on a home qualifying final. Should they take care of business against the Hawks, it will be another giant step towards a shock top-two finish.

Schwarzwalder’s Tip: Hawks by 7 points

While we do our best to update posts with end of quarter scores, we aren’t always online so if you have access to the scores and see they haven’t gone into the Comments section of this post, the Community would love it if you could help us out.

  5. BS SC scoring of Worpel continues:
17 possies, 2 tackles, 7 CPs and only 49 points – listed as 2 clangers, one of which was a hard get, and handball to Wingard who was tackled and should never have been called a clanger …

highest possession getter thus far … just BS … if it was Fyfe or one of the others ‘favourites’, they’d be on 80 …
