Game notes: The Hawks will be happy to have this game on their ‘other’ home deck after visits to Spotless Stadium in both 2015 and 2016 resulted in heavy defeats. And their confidence is up after a couple of wins that suggest the nightmare start to the season is now a distant memory. Their kids are demonstrating they can play a bit, but the loss of Grant Birchall to injury is a blow, because Hawthorn’s best footy for the season has been with him in the side. The Giants will again be without Toby Greene and will miss Steve Johnson and Zac Williams as well, but overall, they still appear to have the edge in talent and they will surely be stung into action after leaving their run against Geelong too late last week and just managing to scramble a draw.

Thommo’s Tip: GWS by 25 points

While we do our best to update posts with end of quarter scores, we aren’t always online so if you have access to the scores and see they haven’t gone into the Comments section of this post, the Community would love it if you could help us out.

    1. The Fantasy traders also just gave him his official fantasy pig beanie during the week and said he’s on track to be the first person to ever score 100+ in every round. All signs point to a shocker now.

      1. Does anybody else ever get the feeling that The Traders don’t know what they’re talking about? The amount of bad advice they give out is incredible. And the good advice is stuff that any vaguely competent fantasy coach already knows.

        1. Just checked and Ablett hasn’t done it. Pendles cane close in 2011 with one score under 100 with a 94

  4. Just watched the last two minutes of the game. Really confused. For those that saw it, interested in your opinion. Thought the last punch was before I heard the siren.

    1. Siren sounded before the punch. Hodge even said so after the game. It was good thinking but did’nt quiet get there.
