  1. Don’t have anyone except Howes E here. Thinking Dees put the Crows down quite comfortably.

Interested to see where people ended up re Dawson?

      1. I’ll be busting out something stronger than whiskey if Gawn goes massive here, Mav.

        160+ incoming.

Sitting on Tingles and Xerri smh.

  2. I have two options tonight.
Trade gawn in for Grundy and enjoy the match and probably nail a VC. Or take the meek route which may get a bit bumpy and result in putting my tele through the lounge window when gawn goes 180. Hmm Might start looking at new TVs haha

Meek has briggs 2.0 vibes and I enjoyed that ride last season. Missed alot of cash cows to thus far so may help with cash generation.

          1. I’ve Passed on Gawn, GD. Don’t feel good about it but taking meek will probably allow a few more upgrade options this week and next. Plug a few holes up.

  3. Is Lyons this year’s Constable?
I’m hanging onto him waiting for him to pop his cherry. I figure he was best 23 into last years GF and started this year, and has been named emergency since, am I just waiting for a couple of injuries or should I let him go?

    1. Paddling backwards in the same boat.
Brisbane supporter’s words – wouldn’t think he’s back anytime soon. If he was in plans… would be playing.

    2. File him under the ‘break class in case of emergency’ category. Can get the ball still, but too slow, not enough defensive running. The same things that saw him move from Adelaide and GC.

  4. Howes coming to life since Salem is out injured.
Gawn with 23 hitouts in the first term, but so many hitouts are being sharked. Only on 35

    1. As a non owner its kinda Funny how I’m relieved he’s only on 35 at QT. Yet 4 quarters of going 35 is 140 haha I have almost just pencilled this in as a 170+ for gawn.

  5. Petracca on 26 points at half time
    Oliver 29
Gawn leading the disposal count for Melbourne on 12
Brisbane midfield is just dominating this game

  6. Melbourne mids are not reading Gawn and he has gotten frustrated and is just trying to do it without them

  7. First time I’ve seen Melbourne this year, is it me or is Clarry carrying a decent amount of excess condition?

  8. Van Rooyen, Fritsch, Brown and Petty on a COMBINED 22 points at half time.

No wonder the Dees are losing

  9. Gawn getting plenty of hit outs, it’s just Oliver and Tracca fumbling so much they arnt being considered HO to advantage

    1. He’s carrying so hard it’s ridiculous.

        1. Hey, Mark.

I was just lighting him up in another thread lol. Not a fan. Injury profile (missed one game, ankle last week subbed, issues tonight), declined last year and far better Top 8 options imo.

Ask yourself this: would you blind C him? That’s my criterion for premo MIDs.

          1. Agreed as such.. I have 6 I’ll keep. Probably Tracc and Zerret will be 7 and 8 but just thinking about point scoring stepping stones or keepers.

  10. I genuinely question whether Zorko is worth it now he is off half back. Sitting on 90 at 3/4 time. If he holds that role when McKenna returns he looks like a top 6 FWD

  11. Dees won the hitouts 58-27, yet the Lions won the clearances 44-37

As others have said, the Dees midfielders got bullied last night. Rayner was just pushing blokes out of the way. No wonder Max was frustrated. The bye has come at the right time for them.

    1. There were 15 sharked hitouts for Max Gawn last night – his 2nd most in any match in the previous 7 seasons.
