Game notes: Both clubs have thrived and suffered under the Friday-night glare this season. The Roos sparkled in the first-ever Good Friday match to shoot 29 points clear of the Dogs, only to lose one of their three heartbreakers by fewer than six points. The Saints chased down Greater Western Sydney in prime time in round seven, in what many thought was a statement victory. Instead, they have lost three in a row – including a Friday night loss to Adelaide – with a scrappy success over Carlton in between. St Kilda’s finals hopes are already flickering and a seventh consecutive defeat to North Melbourne would put it in danger of slipping from 12th position. Nick Riewoldt (knee bone bruising) is due back for the Saints (5-6) in a major positive. But the Roos (4-7) are equally requiring a win, especially after a disappointing third quarter cost them badly against Richmond before the bye.

Thommo’s Tip: St Kilda by 18 points.

While we do our best to update posts with end of quarter scores, we aren’t always online so if you have access to the scores and see they haven’t gone into the Comments section of this post, the Community would love it if you could help us out.

    1. Not sure if they’re focussing on it in the tv coverage at all but it’s an old school Creepy Crowley style tag.

  3. Billings (90) at 1/2 time.

Starting to look SC relevant next year if he keeps his DPP.

Has all the pedigree to “Brake Out” in 2018.

    1. Would players be so kind as to only break out at the start of the season? A mid-season breakout doesn’t help anybody…

  5. As a north supporter, I’m pretty annoyed at the rest of our draw… we’ve got 3 home games for the rest of the year – how can we have 8 out of our first 12 games at home, and only 3 of our last ten at home?

What kind of a draw is that

  7. Goldy in to my team this week. Probably as good a ruck that you
could buy in. Can play a bit! I know he is a bit older and past absolute best
but still does the job. Looking at Maxy as well, in a few weeks.

      1. Roberton is a gun, but gee did we make his work easy for him… it’s almost like all of our inside 50’s were intended to go to him
