Game Chat – Rich v Melb

Written by MJ on April 24 2015

The Tigers and the Demons will kick off round four at the mighty ‘G tonight at 7.50pm. Richmond had a good win against the listless Brisbane Lions last week, whilst Melbourne continue to build on their promising start to the season (1-2 record). Expect Richmond to have a tough encounter, they should be good enough to get the business done, but Melbourne has not been an easy win to start 2015.

Justin’s tip: Richmond by 21 points.

  1. Pretty ordinary Friday night games so far this season – don’t get me wrong I love footy and will happily watch most matches but surley the AFL regrets some of it’s early season fixtures.

Looking ahead in round 7 we have bombers vs roos, cats vs power in round 11 and hawks vs crows in round 12.

The blues getting 5 of the first 10 Friday night games raises eyebrows, not bad for a bottom 4 team :-/

  3. Lot of interest in this game for me.

Have Hunt, McIntosh, Lumumba, Vandenberg, Martin, Garlett, Hogan and Salem (some are emg loophole options).

  4. Lumumba, Vandenbeg and Martin on field for me tonight. Looping McIntosh with Saad/Oxley and Hogan with Clark. Will probably take anything 70+ from Hogan (given Clark hasn’t gone bigger than 78 in 3 games), still unsure on the Backs, reassess this evening as I can’t split them! Newton on bench, hope he can punch out a decent game and hold his BE steady, otherwise he may have finished mooing in 2 rounds!

  6. Pretty even game at qtr time. If Griffiths had kicked straight, Tigers would be leading. Even so, I’d take a one-legged Griffiths over Ty Vickery any time 😉

  11. Rance: 10 touches, three of which were clangers and gave away three free kicks……….90 pts?? Think someone at Champion Data has Rance in their team……they’re having a laugh

  12. Vandenberg on the pine, with E but no way to get him in. Still, cash. And Hogan playing for 118? Wow, sweet and unexpected. McIntosh looking like is first round score is an outlier. Cash growth slowing a lot. Still not going to move on him for a bit, nobody to bring in for him and still have Goodes to deal with first.

Dusty, sigh. Holding of course, but darn.

  13. I am also guilty of fielding McIntosh and benching Vandenberg!
Hopefully Cripps will get a ton+ to ease the pain.
Still 363 from Maric and 3 rookies is nothing to scoff at; definitely would’ve taken that at the start of the night.

  15. Haha, I had the VC on Martin and in typical fashion for me this year he spudded up. This is a PSA; I will be loopholing Sloane as my captain, expect a sub 100 score from him this week!
