Game Chat – Richmond v North Melbourne

Written by Thommo on July 18 2020

Where and when: Metricon Stadium, Saturday 18th July at 7:40pm (AEST)

Last time they met: Rd 11, 2019: North 15.9 (99) def Richmond 9.8 (62) at Marvel Stadium.

What it means for Richmond: The Tigers are showing some signs of life and will be back in business in season 2020 if they can chalk up another victory tonight.

What it means for North Melbourne: North’s season is looking as healthy as Cunnington’s back right now. They started in decent shape but their season is going in the opposite direction to the Tigers. Another loss and things are looking bleak.

Thommo Watch: I have my eye on Dustin Martin – is he cooked in Supercoach or just having his usual slow start to the season?

Mottsy’s Tip: Richmond by 3 goals.

    1. Ooo! Nice, Mutley.

Ultra-POD, had a much better role over the last fortnight. Hope he continues to fire for you tonight.

    1. Big shocker, love watching him but he always gets injured. I’m not watching, how serious is it?

    1. did it in the 1st 5 mins
      strapped him up
was on @ the end of the 2nd Q
didn’t look like a player worth 555k though
low chance of nth winning this game
would be a bit silly to risk him in the 2nd 1/2 & doing more damage

  3. nth 2 goals in 3 & 1/2 Q’s must be a worry for their fans
2 yrs ago zeibel started playing fwd because they had no goal kickers
looks like not much has changed

  4. Glad I kept Pickett. Makes up for Simpkin 57. I am starting to think that the carnage is just beginning as games get closer to each other

    1. That is a great point.
Is bench coverage better than cash gen or upgrading?

For instance, I was looking at getting rid of Brander and Sturt next week but if they’re both listed to play do I just sit on my hands for a week and wait for the inevitable carnage?

I’ve also got Budarick tucked away on my bench just waiting to be needed.
