Game Chat – Sydney v Freo

Written by MJ on March 15 2015

Kieren Jack (116) and Heath Grundy (102) were the only Swans to make triple figures last week, while Rampe (95), Kennedy (93) and Parker (91) came close. Our first look at heavily touted, Isaac Heeney ($137k MID) saw him climb to 63 points from 14 disposals. Tom Mitchell tried his best to impress with 20 disposals and 75 points. He’ll want to put in another promising show today.

A few Dockers came out of the woodwork in their first game with Lachie Neale ($468k MID) showing his breakout potential with a massive 28 disposal game for 127 points. Only Ryan Griffen saw more of the ball than him in NAB 1. Clancee Pearce ($278k DEF/MID) put his name on a few defensive radars with a 118 point effort.

  1. Mainly interested in the Rucks in this one.
Would like to see Nankervis go well and push for the Number 2 ruck spot at Sydney which would make him a viable R3 in supercoach at 123k rather than non playing DPP.
Also Jon Griffen but would have to cement spot and really only a cheap R2 option at his price.

  2. FREMANTLE midfielder Lachie Neale looks set for a break out season after starring in the NAB Challenge loss to Sydney.

Neale (154) amassed a game-high equalling 33 disposals — 19 in the first half — and eight tackles.

Swans extractor Josh Kennedy (153) and Luke Parker (144) were among the bestwhile Nat Fyfe (133) emerged in the last quarter to boost his score.

Emerging Swans midfielders Craig Bird (101) and Tom Mitchell (78) had solid outings while Dockers intercept king Garrick Ibbotson (73) is back to his best after struggling with injuries last year.
