No captain and VC choice optio article for this round?
Assuming GD has been quite busy lately so is struggling to do any posts for SCTalk
GD does so much on our behalf all year round that any MIA on his part is more than ok. Gives us the chance to make our own choices,which may not go so well!!!
I’ve done a few numbers if anyone is interested (in case GD is indisposed or pulling out his hair with all the outs this round) :
PETRACCA (Fri) : L3 v BL – 103 AV and L3 @ MCG 125 AV
NEALE (Fri) : L3 v Melb – 105 AV and L3 @ MCG – 107 AV (doesn’t often play there)
DAICOS (Sat arvo) : 1 game v Freo – 65 and L3 @ MCG – 116 AV
MARSHALL (Sat arvo) : L3 v GCS – 109 AV and no info for games at GCS
ROZEE (Sat arvo) : L3 v CAR – 80 AV and L3 @ Mvl – 93 AV
MERRETT (Sat night) : L3 v Geel – 103 AV and L3 @ GMS – 107 AV
STEWART (Sat night) : L3 v Ess – 111 AV and L3 @ GMS – 124 AV
LAIRD (Sat night) : L3 v GWS – 80 AV and L3 @ AO – 118 AV
DAWSON (Sat night) : L3 V GWS – 92 AV and L3 @AOI – 105 AV
SICILY (SUN arvo) : L3 v NM – 104 AV and L3 @ Mvl – 131 AV

So with no Serong, Titch, Lloyd, Dunks, Sheldrick and DCam, I am looking at 2 donuts. Is it worth trading out Sheldrick for C Harvey? 5 trades left. Struggling to see what else I can do to minimize the damage.

TD : Don’t bother, take the 2 donuts. Sheldrick will be a better bench player going forward.
Or comment below for pull the pin and trade out Titch with his 3R average of 95 for Sicily/Petracca and Sheldrick for Harvey ?

Cheers for putting up that info earlier, George Hewitt for Fyfe if you have him, Darcy cam via DPP, , Hewitt was a beast last year and if given Kennedy role could be again and at 260ish ,it’s what I’m considering doing.

Since then Cuningham Fogarty have gone past him and come in and now Harvey has debuted.

Glad I can relax a bit more with the VC on English so I won’t worry as much with 21 on the field
So ended up trading out Lloyd and Sheldrick for Sicily and C Harvey with the Hail Mary on VC English – if Ridley and Maric play, maybe it won’t be such a catastrophic round after all?
What happened to Dale? 22 touches at 68 doesn’t normally yield only 50 points
4 CP, 2 marks, 1 tackle, 2 intercept possessions.
Most disposals seemed to come from kick ins.
A lot of other very high scoring players would also reduce his scoring
Fair enough, still seems harsh to me, but I suppose I’ll have to cop it on the chin.
Yeah I feel it is quite low. May have been some turnovers that were very crucial in the game, like running too far from a kick in to then give a shot at goal
